I think somebody else pointed this out. But man does Olivia Rodrigo's song "Can't Catch Me Now" really fit the vibe between Aideen and Garnok.

"You think I'm gone cause I left"

Like she's gone, yet she's still haunting him. Because he had to have thought when Aideen died, he had finally won and that he would escape his imprisonment.

But she's in every piece of Jorvik - the very world she created. She has her horses, Soul Riders and Druids. Just because she's gone, doesn't mean Garnok can have a moment's peace.

"Shadows of us" / "Snow falling" / "the fire you founded" / "all the messes you made"

There's references to his power too, considering his Dark Riders' powers. Power that even the song says isn't strong enough to defeat her.

"I'm coming like a storm into your town"

I like to think that the storm is the main character - Aideen reborn -blasting into Jorvik and messing up all of Garnok's plans.

Random thought during my writing, do you think Lisa ever hates herself for not gaining her healing powers sooner?

Because she might have been able to heal/save her mother if she had and if I gained the ability to heal after losing my mom that would haunt me forever.

I kind of like the idea that Pandoria is constantly trying to get into Jorvik or perhaps they're just so intertwined that you can't have one without the other.

In Valedale, pandoric power comes through as runestones, which the Druids have learned to shape and create to channel the power harmoniously.

In Devil's Gap, there were pandoric crystals popping up. I'm just gonna assume they're charging the Pandemonium Pool thing or something.

In Marchenghast, they got the unfortunate thorny brambles (ones like the ones you find in Pandoria), which just wreck havoc on Jorvik's nature system as an invasive species.

I used to be a staunch believer of Rosalinda Silverglade but yknow Rosalinda von Marchenghast has a nice ring to it. ’The nobles had witch hunts in the late 18th century’ is just way too specific to not be related to the character who famously died after a witch trial in the late 18th century.

Omg do you think Mr. Sands froze Marchenghast Castle in time and that's why they're more old-timey?

His whole thing with Garnok started because he wanted to bring Rosalinda back to life. So when she's finally back, Mr. Sands will bring her home - which is exactly the same as when she died - and he'll be like "welcome home, honey!" with a crazed smile.

That's terrifying.
