frankly i just like claire b/c i see a lot of myself in her personality (goofy, cerebral, loyal, well meaning) and how she processes information and has played in the game (both its strengths and weaknesses - i would probably also try to play as a more dominant player’s steve b/c i know my own nature enough to know that i couldn’t be that dominant player myself). in terms of gameplay there’s a strong case to be made that she strategized a lot of prejury with tiff who was the face of its execution (clocking and dismantling the slaughterhouse, using ky to create the royal flush during his hoh, recognizing the value of dx and taking him under their wing before anyone else in order to then take the shot at the biggest threat in the game - christian, recognizing azah and tiff’s strained relationship and working to slide in as azah’s connection to the tiff/claire/hannah/dx foursome). she lost control once jury hit but still worked to try and flip the vote in her best interest to keep britini. tried to keep her stronger ally dx by attempting to push for a hannah renom when she was on the block. many of the ways in which she wasn’t able to achieve much at this stage are because of the cookout and because she did not recognize her waning importance to tiff (who, mind you, still was the first person to ever win back to back hohs solely in the name of protecting her) and much of her downfall was due to her belief that tiff was her shield (and in any other season she would be). it’s hard to say how successful she could’ve been if the house dynamics weren’t so fixed this season due to factors outside of her control. i’d even argue that if she had used the coin of destiny to put up the three co men, hannah would’ve still won veto and had to come up with an excuse to take down big d or ky, and since claire wouldn’t put up azah, her renom would’ve still had to have been sb or alyssa, pissing off way more people for the same result. so both over and understating her contributions frankly seems inaccurate. i ultimately think she did a better than a worse job with the hand she was dealt. tiff and hannah are obviously the better players but claire’s game is, realistically, the closest to how my own would probably be. and that’s literally all i have to say about that.

also yes duh i think she’s hot.

i just knew this was gonna happen when tiff won hoh, i was so confused as to why she wasn’t throwing this knowing this exact outcome could happen.

anyways, while i think claire will understand the cookout and their mission and not have hard feelings about being kept in the dark, i do think it’ll hurt her more than its hurt the other house guests because she’ll be the only one to go out on her #1′s hoh, and more than that, i think she was the most loyal to her #1 than any of the others.

like, when you think about it, tiffany and hannah kinda manipulated her into playing the coin of destiny just so that she couldn’t play in hoh this week and protect herself, and now she’s probably going out on tiffany’s hoh... big oof

i really hope she isn’t bitter and she does still advocate for tiff in jury, but i’ll definitely understand if she’s hurt and not particularly understanding by the time she leaves on thursday and needs some time to get over it

There is no reason for Tiff to want Claire out before the showmance breaks up that's a huge mistake. Not only because Claire is good for her game, but literally no one else wants her to leave before the showmance so she'd have to do a lot of work for it and that's gonna sketch a lot of people out. There's being fine with her leaving next week and then there's actively targeting her and besides maybe X and Big D I don't know anyone who wouldn't not want to put Claire up and be extremely weirded out if Tiff insists on it.

i really do not understand tiffany’s drive to get claire out as soon as possible. everyone else in the cook out has been sticking their necks out to keep their outside duo safe, as they should, and she’s been trying to get hers evicted and i don’t get it.

i’d get it if she was saying it as an attempt to not appear as close to claire to others, the way sarah beth and kyland have been making them a target, but she just said it to the camera, so it’s clearly not a front and what is the reason?

she claims it’s because she thinks claire is most likely to figure out the cook out but that feels like such a paranoid reason to throw away a ride or die so early, especially in favor of keeping a comp beast and showmance in the game? over a what if? she also keeps bringing up how guilty she feels having to look at claire while lying to her and that has got to be the main reason because the game reason she’s giving just does not make sense to me. i’m starting to think she’s worried she won’t be able to cut claire further down the line so she wants to do it now so she has to stay committed to the cook out or something and not be tempted later on.

either way, i won’t be surprised if her cutting claire is the downfall of her otherwise stellar game, especially with the wedge between tiffany and kyland growing.

bella and nick have to get a villain edit this week right? there’s no way they can leave all of this out, especially now that their precious jack is siding with christie and is ready to keep nicole to use against them. the narrative will have to separate them from gr8ful so they’ll be less likely to be protected by the edit; showing them as awful people doesn’t expose the jacks and even makes him look better for being against them (which ugh, but)

granted, i don’t watch the feeds and just read updates, but i feel like it’s nearly impossible to make nicole anything but the victim here? and if they accurately show that and give bella (and nick) the villain edit they deserve, they might actually show what happened with kemi accurately instead of making kemi seem like she was in the wrong.
