what she means: Veronica Grimm started her fairy tale journal in 1992 which is 3 years before she met Henry in 1995 and 2 years before he even moved to New York in 1994. They moved to Ferryport Landing in 1996-1997 where Veronica was supposedly "introduced to the family business" and "took to it like a natural." If she was involved with fairy tales she would have known the significance of Henry's name when she met him, but she let him think she didn't. She didn't reveal any indication of recognizing Puck despite having been heavily involved with his parents and community for 7 years by the time he ran away in 1999. She didn't keep her notebook at home but with an Everafter friend. By the time she had Sabrina she had been involved with Everafters for at least 6 years. This 1992 journal date was NOT CHANGED in the 10th anniversary rewrite even though OTHER dates and ages WERE updated to fit the official timeline established in the Grimm Guide, so we are forced to accept it as canon. What does it MEAN. What does all of this MEAN. What SECRETS is this woman HIDING

This has been living in my brain non stop so headcanons about Alison in the book 5 dark timeline au:

She is raised by mustardseed in New York, unlike the canon timeline, she knows she’s an everafter her entire life and is raised in the thick of that world.

Because Alison is born in New York and puck is stuck behind the barrier, Puck never meets his daughter. They have a Polaroid photo of her as a new born but that’s the closest he gets.

When Sabrina comes back from New York she channels her grief into anger and is pretty liable to snap at anyone. Her anger doesn’t come out as much at Puck because she knows deep down that he’s the only other person who really understands her loss.

One day Sabrina explodes at Relda out of misdirected anger because she can’t understand how Relda “gave up” her relationship with Jake willing when she and Puck didn’t have a choice about giving up Alison.

Op you said feel free to add on and I have this: I have been doing math recently, and canon timeline Alison would have been born very shortly before dark timeline Sabrina found her younger self. A couple of months at most. So either dark timeline Alison is born a good bit later than canon timeline Alison, or dark timeline Alison has just been born and Sabrina has just come back from leaving her outside Ferryport Landing and she just completely hid this fact from her younger self.

This information actually adds a lot of dimension to the situation, so thanks for adding it!

Personally I like the thought of Alison being born at the same point in both timelines, just under completely different circumstances.

The idea of her hiding it from her younger self is also interesting to me. It may be that it’s such an unbearable grief that she can’t bring herself to put the burden of it onto herself before she has to. Or potentially she thinks that if she tells herself what’s happened she might prevent her daughter from ever existing (and as conflicting as the whole situation is, I don’t think she’d want her erased). I’d love to know your thoughts on it!

I suppose there’s also the possibility that the baby was kept secret from (almost) everyone and she just isn’t at liberty to bring it up publicly. If it got out that Alison existed she could very easily be used against them and that would put her in a lot of danger.

how do you think Alison and Emma would fit into the dark future book 5 au

Omg I’m sorry this has been sitting in my ask box for ages.

Ok so in this AU I cannot imagine Puck or Sabrina wanting to bring a child into things so they would probably be extremely careful.

HOWEVER, for arguments sake, if by some accident they did end up having a child I don’t imagine it would be a happy situation.

I think they’d both be terrified of what was going to happen to their kid so I think they’d have to have Sabrina leave town before the baby was born because otherwise the baby (an ever after by birth) would be trapped in the town. Of course the sad implication of that is that Puck would never get to meet his daughter.

After that I think there are a couple of possibilities, either Sabrina stays with Alison and the two of them can never return to Ferryport landing, or Sabrina leaves the baby with family and returns to Ferryport landing alone.

I guess she could leave Alison with Pucks brother in New York or even Veronica’s sister in Australia.

All that being said I don’t really see Alison existing in this universe and Emma definitely would never exist because they would not be allowing that to happen twice.
