I stumbled upon a gold nugget that I haven’t seen in the tag : this pic.

And I managed to find the videos it was from. It’s kind of the behind-the-scenes/interview of the Tunnel. 

Warning: There’s nothing too spoilery, mostly clips of the show and those are in French. Stephen’s parts are subtitled because he speaks English. In total, there’s like 5 mins of video.

The only way I’d be okay with Lexa’s death.

The first episodes of season 3 have hinted a lot toward Lexa’s death. I don’t know if it’s going to happen or not, but here’s the only way I’d be ok with it.

It’s theory time! (Please keep in mind these are only the big lines, not the whole story)

Some spoilers have suggested that Lexa will be “gone” in later episodes. 

Let’s say she dies, and the Heda’s spirit chooses Aden. Just because Aden is the new Heda, it doesn’t mean that Lexa has to remain dead. For example, imagine she’s gravely injured, her heart and breathing stopped only for a few moments….technically she died…and the spirit of Heda passes from her to the next Commander, Aden.

Now, because Aden is the new Commander, the Grounders and everyone else will assume Lexa is dead for good.

Let’s say there’s war between the clans (even before Lexa died)….Aden decides to honor the promess he made and pledges his loyalty to Skaikru. By definition, Aden and Clarke stand together in this war.

The war goes on and after some time Lexa, who everyone thought dead, returns.

Here’s the interesting part….because, never before as a Heda died and been reborn, Lexa isn’t the same. She’s darker, perhaps even fueled by rage because some of her people have betrayed her, which led to her death.

Now, the trio Aden-Lexa-Clarke would be awesome if we consider this: Aden is Heda, Clarke is Wanheda and Lexa becomes Wan (DEATH). 

It would only be normal that DEATH stands by THE COMMANDER OF DEATH’s side. Clarke would literally command Death. Clarke would be the only one able to temper Lexa’s wrath.

I thought it would be a pretty great way to go for the 100 and I wanted to share it with you. What do you think?

After Stannis’ death, I couldn’t even watch the final episode, I fast-forwarded, hoping he was still alive. I think I’m truly done with Game of Thrones. They destroyed everything for me.

But Stephen Dillane was magnificent in this last scene!

During the shoot of the 5th season we often went for dinner with Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) and Stephen Dillane (Stannis Baratheon) in Belfast, Ireland. It was so much fun that I am already looking forward to more of those nights.

Kit Harington, pretty much confirming that Stannis, Davos and Jon make it to season 6.

Clara took on his role. Not the Eleventh Doctor’s, but clearly the Twelfth’s, with none of the lightness of the former and all of the abrasiveness of the latter.

The scene in the flat turns the Doctor/companion dynamic on its head. It’s the Doctor who warns Clara to behave in a way which isn’t alarming and it’s Clara who fails only seconds later. She’s losing her hold on that bit of empathy which she needs to understand what she can say around people who are not used to this kind of life.

Later her first instincts is to lie to people to give them hope, fully knowing that at least some of them would probably die. There’s no gentle approach to make people do what she wants, it is “I am the one chance you’ve got of staying alive” and “you wanna walk, walk”. We’ve seen her in command before, but this is a new, darker tone.

Clara has seen two peole die in front of her and she drops them from her thoughts moments later. She adopted the Doctor’s approach to death instinctively, when she finds herself in his role. And so the woman who changed the world with just the power of her tears does no longer have the time to stop and grieve.

Danny saw the Doctor as an officer and saw himself in Clara, cast her in the role of a soldier. But if she ever was that, she’s grown out of that role. Even in the moment where she should have been in her element, keeping Rigsy from needlessly sacrificing his life, her words do not speak of compassion. They are merciless with regards to just how futile this is. They end on a call to arms. And she will defeat the enemy.

She truly wasn’t exceptional at being the Doctor just because she was good. It wasn’t only the cleverness and how she saved Rigsy’s life and drew on his talents. She was exceptional because she was just as flawed as the Doctor. Every step of the way. Lies, arrogance, and “people with guns to their head cannot mourn” are embraced without a look back.

Does Clara realise it in that moment? Or has she yet to notice that she is losing her grasp on what it means to be good, in the way that Clara Oswald is good?
