Edgeworth Rare-Pairings Fic Rec List

For my fellow lonely shippers.

Very nice and well-written fics, where Edgeworth is paired up with someone OTHER THAN Phoenix, Gumshoe, Franziska. Those pairings are not here since there are enough fics for them to make their own fic lists. This post is dedicated to rare pairings which can’t have their own lists.

I usually don’t add my own comment when making a fic rec list, but this post would be the only exception because I’m pretty sure most of these fics are unfamiliar to my Narumitsu-shipping followers.

  Taking Flight by Clydell Humphries Kay/Edgeworth. Kay’s prosecuting career has begun, and the Yatagarasu is flying. But two months in, she finds one case is more problematic than she could have imagined. It places her, Edgeworth and Gumshoe in more danger than they’re prepared for while uncovering secrets of the past and present, but will they pull through? How far can things go in a raven’s earliest flight? (*Where Kay Faraday became a prosecutor and engaged to Edgeworth. Now she will solve her important case together with her handsome fiance.)

Consummation by thecoffeemaniac Kay/Edgeworth. Kay treats her forbidden attraction to Mr. Edgeworth like a game, and Miles has no choice but to accept Ms. Faraday’s challenge. (*I put a link for Kink Meme here instead of AO3 because I really love how op described their prompt.)

The Proposal of the Tortoise and the Hare by SamCyberCat Kay/Edgeworth. After having been in a relationship with Kay for such a long while, Edgeworth was finally wondering how to go about proposing to her.

The Same Page by foxysquid Lang/Edgeworth. Lang’s functional illiteracy is a secret he has kept for years. However, there are many forms of language in the world, and Edgeworth’s personal literacy problem might be even more serious. Edgeworth undertakes the task of teaching Lang to read English, but when gaps in his own learning become apparent, will the student become the master?

Just Desserts by pearls1990 Lang/Edgeworth. Agent Lang stops by Miles’s office to offer dessert…and more! (*Lang and Edgeworth joyfully spending time together: eating, driving, and of course, making out.)

The Big Bad Wolf by Dokuganryu Lang/Edgeworth. Shi-Long Lang has called Edgeworth out to Zheng Fa to help him with a case. Though is that the only reason he’s asked him over there? Edgeworth Isn’t convinced, especially as he’s been invited to stay in Lang’s house for the duration of his stay. Lang Zi says: The alpha wolf /always/ gets his way.

Kiss The Girl by Pleading Eyes Maya/Edgeworth. Edgeworth gets swindled into taking our favorite Fey cousins to see The Little Mermaid on stage. But something smells, and you know what that means… It’s inconceivable! These things simply do not happen to Miles Edgeworth! (*This fic made me laughing and sobbing at the same time.)

Equilibrium by xArle Maya/Edgeworth. The left brain is logical, rational, and analytical. The right brain is random, creative, and intuitive. Together, they form a balance. (*For people who want some canon evidence list of Mitsumayo.)

Awkward Manoeuvres in the Dark by tellezara Maya/Edgeworth. They’ve reached the point where they both want to have sex, but they’re both far too embarrassed to ask for it. So they just watch TV with each other. They progressively get twitchier and twitchier, but they stubbornly ignore the giant horny elephant in the room. One evening, the power goes out. They find it’s easier to do what they want when it’s pitch dark.

Strange Love by Edgey Gavin Phoenix/Maya/Edgeworth. It’s Trucy’s birthday, so Apollo decides to drop in on the Wright residence before work. He’s quick to discover he still knows very little about his boss’s private life. (*Where Trucy has two daddies and one mommy and one brother and all of them are making very happy family.)

Breathing Is A Necessity by BringTheHawt Gant/Edgeworth. Phoenix/Edgeworth. A lustful relationship between Edgeworth and Damon takes a twisted turn when the obsessive police chief realizes the handsome prosecutor is being pursued by another man. That man is Phoenix. And his pursuit of Edgeworth is sweet, honest and hilarious. (*I started shipping Gantworth because of this fic. You’d especially love this if you want some jealous!Phoenix.)

Whimsical Fantasy by LadyLuckDoubt Gant/Edgeworth. Written for Kink Meme. Prompt “I want Gant to actually be in love with Edgeworth. Actually trying to make him laugh, worshiping his young body, wanting to spoil him and take him to some tropical island. Just Gant pampering Edgeworth because he’s actually head over heels for the young colleague.”

King of Prosecutors by inunokanojo Gant/Edgeworth. What really happened after Miles won his King of Prosecutors award and went to the evidence storage room.

Smoke Rings by PrsctrTails Diego/Edgeworth. Diego Armando and a young Miles Edgeworth enjoy a much needed break from the hassles of the work world.

Subtext by inevitableentresol Blackquill/Edgeworth. unrequited. Written for Kink Meme. Prompt “Edgeworth and Blackquill have a huge intense shipping war over which is the better ship, Steel samurai/evil magistrate or steel samurai/pink princess.” (*Edgeworth worships canon pairing and not very good at catching the subtext. Same goes for real relationship.)

Understood by edgequill Blackquill/Edgeworth. Blackquill knows what he wants, but he needs Edgeworth to help him ask for it (and to give it to him). 

A Matter of Propriety by Yuugami Blackquill/Edgeworth Simon Blackquill may have been exonerated in the eyes of the law, but the public at large continues to view him with suspicion. He is forced to live in a hotel as no one will rent an apartment to him, and beleaguered by reporters. Chief Prosecutor Edgeworth, appalled by his subordinate’s situation, comes up with a somewhat unorthodox way of lending him a hand, gradually leading to a closer connection than either of them initially envisioned. A balancing act of weighing propriety against their personal desires ensues… (*The greatest Edgequill fanfiction in history. It would be captial crime if you are interested in this ship and still don’t read this fic.)

A Musical Joke by Metallic_Sweet Klavier/Edgeworth. With Klavier and Miles, the question has always been: what do you want?

Prosecutor Polyamory by Zalsburry Blackquill/Klavier/Edgeworth. Written for Kink Meme. Prompt “Klavier/Simon/Miles in a relationship together. Most people know about it though they never talk about it themselves. Some fluff and maybe other characters trying to figure out how it works.”  (*Interactions between AA prosecutors are always glorious. Especially when it is love.) 

Untitled by Anonymous Apollo/Edgeworth. Edgeworth and Apollo in the most buttoned-down, repressed, prim-and-proper relationship ever. No kissing in public because it’s “obnoxious”, lots of blushing (and perhaps some angry blustering) whenever Phoenix, I mean someone, makes a suggestive comment, compulsively hanging up their clothes after sex so they won’t wrinkle etc. And they’re both deliriously happy with each other. (*Relationship of two uke attorneys. No seme here. Just uke and uke.)

Happyland by inevitableentresol Apollo/Edgeworth. Apollo and Edgeworth dress in short skirts for a Halloween party, and Edgeworth gets groped on public transport on the way. (*My favorite Edgepollo fic. I mean it.)

Winter’s Thaw by prospectkiss Lana/Edgeworth. “I always felt that she was looking out for me…” Before Edgeworth and Phoenix met up again, there was someone else watching over the prosecutor. A look at what might have happened between Miles Edgeworth and Lana Skye.

Anything but love by Tilea Manfred/Edgeworth. Phoenix/Edgeworth. Phoenix Wright begins his college career abroad, and it is not by coincidence that he is attending the same University as his childhood friend, Miles Edgeworth. While at first he is overjoyed at their reunion, he is far too observant not to notice that his crush’s new life is not as luxurious and pampered as it seems. Something terrible is going on behind closed doors, but Phoenix can’t help if Miles won’t let him in. (*Mostly -breathtakingly beautiful- Phoenix/Edgeworth. But adding a dose of Manfred is what makes this fic so special.) 

Turnabout Confessions by Yaoi Huntress Earth Past Manfred/Edgeworth. Gumshoe/Edgeworth. When Dick finally decides to reveal his feelings to Edgeworth, he discovers that his silver haired beauty’s past is a lot darker than he once thought. (*Manfred/Edgeworth fics usually end up with rape and abuse. This fic is unusual because it was by consent. Manfred actually said he LOVED Miles and the boy innocently believed his lie.)

Hands Clean by KingMobUK Manfred/Edgeworth Written for Kink Meme. Prompt “Miles isn’t physically attracted to VK in any way, but so emotionally needy he comes across as wanting a sexual relationship, and willing to submit to any sort of affection. Some age where he’s old enough to understand what’s happening, and possibly inwardly shamed by his own actions, but still naive. Not raped, and with Von Karma not being cruel but not affectionate. He should love VK, although not perhaps in a physical sense.”

Sleepless Night by Ikari_no_Koe Kristoph/Edgeworth. Phoenix/Edgeworth. Miles was no savior. (*Where Edgeworth must go through a nasty deal with Kristoph in order to save Phoenix. Sadly unfinished.)

Give by Pyrasaur Mia/Edgeworth. Something casual, something evening cool and shadowed soft: if only nighttime stayed so benign for him. Slight AU (*Young Bratworth is still not free from his nightmare. Yet he is contradicting himself by being in a relationship with a defense attorney.)

February Stars by luchadorable Oldbag/Edgeworth. Wendy Oldbag was dying. Miles Edgeworth knew what he had to do.

True Confessions by Tarma Hartley Grossberg/Edgeworth. unrequited. Marvin Grossberg has a crush on someone… and he wants to let that person know. What will happen when he tells him? (*I never thought I’d see the day I think of Grossberg as “cute.”)

Edgeworth and Klavier

When I said “Miles Edgeworth was Klavier Gavin’s mentor” is my headcanon, I meant it.

First of all, I think Edgeworth STAYED in the country during seven-years-gap. He sometimes traveled around various countries for weeks or even months to solve international cases, but didn’t “live” there. It’s just weird if he spent seven long years abroad and then became a Chief Prosecutor out of nowhere.(I don’t know how it works in California, but it’s unthinkable in Japan.) He didn’t have any more reasons to run off again after he found his “Prosecutor’s Path” in GK2. It was time to stay where he belonged, to help his disbarred friend and save the legal world from darkness. 

And as long as he stayed in the country, Edgeworth and Klavier just couldn’t avoid being involved with each other. So many people thought they were similar: child prodigy, studied in Germany, pretty face, lots and lots of fangirls. Since the very beginning of his career, Klavier always found himself being compared to Edgeworth. “Wow, he’s even younger than Edgeworth!” “Is he prettier than Edgeworth?” “He defeated Phoenix Wright. The only prosecutor who did that was Edgeworth!” He couldn’t help but feel some kind of interest, admiration, or at least curiosity about that famous Edgeworth guy.

Thanks to his secret investigation with Phoenix, Edgeworth knew his real enemy was Kristoph, not Klavier. Just like in SL-9, where the prosecutor in charge was young Edgeworth but real mastermind was Damon Gant. So, to everyone’s surprise, Edgeworth didn’t push him off when that seventeen-year-old kid approached him and offered some German greetings. The fact that his brother was a sick monster didn’t mean Edgeworth should stay away from him too. Von Karma and Debeste were murderers but it didn’t stop Edgeworth from looking out for their kids: Franziska and Sebastian. He rather chose to be stay close to Klavier, so that he could keep the boy from growing up like his brother. Seriously, Klavier was EVEN YOUNGER than Kay Faraday.
