The Broken

Don’t get me wrong you ripped out my soul when you left, shattered my heart. I loved you more than words could ever express. I was addicted to you like a drug. Your body, your mind, your soul, your eyes. Those eyes. They captivated my soul from the second I met you and I knew I had to run. The thing is I could never shake you. I ran and ran but you kept pulling me back till I eventually let you in. You knocked down my walls and I’m forever thankful for you, because of you I survived in my darkest hours. You became my hero while the world around me shattered. Yet I still lost myself in the darkness. At some point you entered that darkness with me and we were never the same.
