Sun, Sand, & Science || Mirage & Jumba [Anti-Valentines Event]
Truly the only thing lacking of Earth was the technology. Humans, with their primitive minds failed to come up with some of the most basic of creations, which meant Jumba had to make his own from whatever he could find. Often, he had to search for weeks to find the right supplies. He was willing to forgive these flaws as it gave him interesting challenges. As important as this new experiment was, for some reason he was distracted along the way. That was unusual… Pausing briefly, he looked around the colorful streets. Hawaiian prints and tourists everywhere. Nothing out of place, until he glanced over and was suddenly stunned by the slim woman heading his way.
Normally humans were odd-looking at best. They lacked the proper number of eyes and their comically long limbs were always getting in the way. Jumba could hardly create a stranger looking humanoid- so bald and helpless! Most of them were amusing in appearance, though he would admit they could surprise him with their intelligence sometimes… Somehow this pale haired individual- (he sometimes had trouble telling men from women with the lack any distinguishing tusks or manes) was different! And they seemed to be approaching him, which was more unusual. Most humans simply shouted out demands for directions without paying much attention to locals beforehand.
"Ah, hullo…?" he asked, making an awkward wave gesture that Lilio had taught him and Pleakley. It seemed the only appropriate response in this situation, as he usually didn’t bother with the more complicated human rituals of communication.

Mirage stepped up to the…man? No that’s not what he was at all, but she didn’t know what he was.
"Excuse me sir. I was wondering just exactly what it is you’re doing here? I can certainly say that you’re not like anyone else I’ve ever met on this island, let alone this world."
She lowered her sunglasses to look him in the eyes. Of which he seemed to have four, and were rather warm. She felt comfortable looking into them. But why? She shook her head in confusion.
"I…I’m associated with the government here and I need to know who or what you are. Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way. You can either come with me on a walk around town and tell me all about your life, or you can take me somewhere nice and we can talk over things there."
Wait what…? That wasn’t protocol. That wasn’t even professional. What was with her brain today?

All four eyes blinked in surprise.
"This world? You have been to others?!"
No one ever saw through his clever disguises, this must be an incredibly perceptive individual! She- Jumba was rather sure this was a female specimen, didn't seem like the average tourist except in appearance! Though she was certainly a lovely one- so strange a thought to have. He must write down his observations, but for now, he was too entranced by the pale furred human to take the time now. She must be otherworldly, if she could talk so casually about this planet
"I'm not sure wheech you mean is the easy way... but there are many nice places on the island if you need to be shown to any of them! I am Jumba, by the way..." Forgetting what errands he'd been on the way to, Jumba extended a broad hand with a welcome smile. This would be terribly interesting- meeting a fellow traveler, even if she were merely human. Also, an excellent chance to hone his social skills beyond the typical loud visitors he was used to...

Every so often, even Mirage needed a break. Traveling around the world for business and monitoring super hero activity was something she was used to. Going somewhere to just relax was rare however. So now Mirage found herself in Hawaii, siting outside a small coffee shop. She had on a straw hat and sunglasses, and was perusing through a small pamphlet on various tourist attractions of the island state. All she wanted was a normal vacation, so why not spend it like one?
As she looked up for a moment however, something seemed to catch her eye. There was a very large man across the way who seemed to be well…not quite human. He was rather wide and had glasses and a mustache, which wouldn’t be too odd if it weren’t for the fact he seemed to have four eyes and the mustache was obviously fake. The strangest thing was that nobody seemed to notice this, or even complain. They just acted like it was normal.
Mirage stood up, smoothing out her navy blue sundress and slipped her sandals on and went up to confront the man about his identity, but for an odd reason a strange feeling came over her much like a wave. She still wanted to know who or what this man was, but she also felt inclined to find out mundane things like his favorite color, or what music he liked, and just why that mustache looked so devilishly handsome on him.

I'm looking to create a machine that cleans my kitchen for me. It's going to be HUGE, and EXTRAORDINARY! Something that no one has ever seen before! So, what do you say? You want to help me build a kitchen cleaner?
Hmm... you want a device for cleaning? But only the room in which humans prepare food. I have been working on a few things that might work well for you! How do you feel about lazers? And perhaps some biorobots... *gets to work scrawling out some extremely detailed diagrams in alien languages*

Fix-It Felix wasn't familiar with the physics engine of the Player's World, or their 'supermarkets'. Most Players couldn't high-jump to reach the toilet paper from the top shelves, and it was hard to tell how much of one's Health Meter was restored from eating the pies. Stranger still was that, for some reason, the seafood food section appeared to be charred and on fire. Uneasy, Felix tapped at the four-eyed purple man standing there at the edge of the counter. "Oh my land! What happened, sir?"
Surveying the wreckage, Jumba frowned, recalculating his previous estimations of his newest design. The gun bristled with lazers and otherworldly tech, but somehow the locals had gotten used to this kind of disaster… mostly. Turning at the contact, he looked the unusually ctoonish human over. He could hardly decipher what passed as normal for earthlings and took Felix’s slightly pixelated state as a matter of fact. “Oh, is not something you should worry about! Is just a leetle problem weeth calibration.” His gaze fell to the toolbelt, “You seem like maybe the kind of person who can help with such things, eh?” Chuckling, he extended his arm in that funny way his human hosts had explained, “Aloha, I am Doctor Jumba!” It had taken much practice to work out the strange customs of his new homeland, but he took pride in mastering human’s simple ways. he was, practically a native by now,surely…
As the flames at the counter slowly grew higher, nipping into the edges of the aprons hung on the wall and beginning a heated, smoking ascent, Felix’s gaze shifted back to meet the four eyes of the man beside him. The little handyman smiled uneasily, nervous about the growing damage, but reached up to shake the man’s hefty hand.
"Oh, a doctor! Boy, I’ve sure met some distinguished people out here — I met a professor of criminal minds lately too, and he happened to be a sort of mouse fellow of some kind! I’m Fix-It Felix Jr. Nice to meet you, Doctor Jumba!"
The aprons on the wall finally caught, and the fire in the corner of Felix’s eye grew hotter and brighter. Nervous again, Felix leaned far to the side to see around Jumba, then glanced back to him.
"Um… Well yes, I’m the sort of person you can count on in a moment of need. Is there ah… anything I can do about this, or is this just how the level was designed?" Felix asked, gesturing to the flames.
Performing the weird human ritual of hand grasping, Jumba looked around at the chaos, "Ah, I am not sure what you are meaning by level. The building has slope of 1.5 degrees by earth measurements, but it is certainly nothing to be concerned with! You say a Professor- who is not a human?! That is not something I have encountered yet- there IS a dog learning to speak very well in my lab. He won't be ready for any kind of degree for some while..." He was a little disappointed in the earth creatures lack of brains with genius potential. A good deal of humans were hard enough to educate on the basics of his sort of conceptualizing. He was about to ask more about the Professor when the shouts of the panicked citizens reminded him they could be doing something productive. "Yes, we should not leave it like that, if that is what you mean! I have a setting here-" he fidgited with the device as it clicked uselessly, "Hmm. It should not be out of power yet..." The purple alien began to check his pockets for an extra power source, "I perhaps should have been better prepared to test this one, yes?"
