I read the VK chat translations a while ago. I think Vlad said something about shooting yourself in the head and the blood splatter almost being romantic. If what I'm remembering is even correct, do you have any speculations on why he may have thought that?

I think he called it romantically just for a greater effect, it’s some kind of sarcasm. He seems irritated because that random girl texted him. Also the word “romantic” quite often used in talks about crimes in Russia, kinda almost every crime has a romantic atmosphere, for example “Highway romantics” means criminals.

To die was his life’s dream, every dream looks beautiful in the mind of a dreamer, even if it’s his own death.

There is also this information about Vlad heavily drinking alcohol, but Denis said he didn't so any idea what's the truth on that point? Also your English looks perfect to me and I wish I knew Russian already because it is so hard to learn ugh.

His grades. In school (secondary education) Vlad was a mediocre student, on the first photo his grades, the columns are years. Ukranian students are graded on a 10-step scale. But in the college (vocational education) he became A-student (second photo), who passed all exams in time. Russian students are graded on a 5-step scale. The grades are not really important in Russia, your final examination that what is important if you want to go to university (higher education degree).

He was born in Ukraine and died in Russia, because we annexed Crimea, you know.

Alcohol. It’s all true. Vlad said to Polina that he got two alcohol poisonings before 14yo. He also told about it in details his college classmate Rostislav. Once he was so drunk that fell asleep in a field, a man found him and called an ambulance. He laughted when told about it and added that he done with it. Seems he changed a lot after school, didn’t drink alcohol at all, started doing sports, studied very well, got interested in crimes and became a loner.
