everything is changing and maybe that’s okay
as you get older you realise that anything that helps you stop feeling stuck is welcome even if it hurts at first
would u still love me if i were stuck in a cycle i've never been able to break
formative years? aren’t they all?
oh, i am finally old enough to know why my parents took so long to grab their coats. why they would ask us to get ready to go only to sit down for another round of coffee. what would i tell myself, at 10 years old? it’s okay. sit down with them too. take in the extra hour with your friend and her family. when you get home, write down every moment in your diary. one day you will be older and you will be waving goodbye to your best friend, and you will turn the key to start your beat up little car engine, and you will look back over your shoulder. her hair will be blowing in the wind and she will be beautiful and you will be, for a moment, struck by all of it. what you will feel is so wide and nameless that it will engulf you. and you will think of being 14 and kicking her under the table in math every time you wanted to whisper something behind the teacher’s back. you will think about how long the days felt, and how you could hold her hand whenever you wished, but you didn’t. and you will think about all of the people you could have lingered with. and you will wish, more than you have ever felt a wish, that the universe just gave you that - more time to linger. more time to say - i love you. i know i need to leave, but i don’t want to leave you. and when i go, i am leaving a piece of my heart that lingers too.
one more round of coffee. the days are so short, and you are so lovely.

any other girls feel a permanent sense of unbelonging no matter where they are or who they are with
all stories are about time loops, except for time loops, which are about grief

social media is ruining our attention spans but unlike the billion other guilt-tripping posts im just here to tell you to admit to yourself that you’re on your phone too much. even if nothing immediately changes. even if you’re doing it to cope. just say it to yourself. and slowly, slowly start relearning hobbies you once loved
this post is mostly for future me’s parasocial relationship with current and past me (in true spirit of my whiny oversharing tumblr tendencies)
g*d im actually looking forward to this week, despite everything. worried for my family in tehran and hoping they’re safe most of all ❤️
the latest meds my drs have me on haven’t been making a big enough improvement so they’re putting me on prednisone for a few weeks while they figure out if they want to escalate me up to the next class of meds. im a bit nervous since it’s supposed to give me a little relief but still isn’t a long term solution
so so so ready to move on from this. ive barely been anywhere but the hospital or drs office since 2021 and there are so many more important things going on in the world that id rather think about!

i am genuinely so sick & tired of america and israel getting away with bombing countries unprovoked and committing genocide. there is no such thing as a "pre-emptive" strike. trust me if any of this were happening to an European country instead of the global south we wouldn't have to beg and protest for people to consider the lives being taken as human lives instead of obscure numbers. it is sick . so fucking sick and depraved. death to usa and israel. and if i see ANY jokes about about "i am not ready for ww3 haha i am so scared" i am blocking you on sight idgaf
what's the matter honey? you've hardly touched your fleeting experience of time on earth
