what’s exotrauma?
here’s a post about it (tw for suicide, syscourse & abuse mentions). basically, trauma that didn’t happen to the body. in psych language, pseudomemories / nonrealisations / internal narratives.
what’s a fictive? what’s a system? what’s “kin”?
ok so. system = a group of people sharing a body. in psych lingo this is Dissociative Identity Disorder or Other Specified Dissociative Disorder Type 1, but we believe systems can exist outside of DID/OSDD. the state of being a system is often called ‘multiplicity’, & you can read more about it here.
a fictive is a person in a system who’s based off a fictional character (psych lingo = fictional introject).
otherkin is when a person believes that they are, in some non-physical way, other-than-human. relevant in this case are fictionkin, whose other-than-human identity is a fictional character. not the same as being a fictive (think of it this way - a fictive’s base identity is the character. a fictionkin has a base identity that isn’t the character (you have your identity, and another, fictional one on top of that). there’s some definitions here.
