She wasn’t sure how this friendship had formed between her and Stitch but it was one of the few things she left like she had left. Everyone that was once considered her companion had completely disappeared from her life. Then there was Stitch. He was different. He made her feel different, but she decided not to dwell on that fact. The way she smiled at him wasn’t like her other smiles, she meant them. Sometimes she’d feel like it was alright to not wear a dress or have on the perfect shade of lipstick before going to see Stitch. Daisy was able to actually be herself around the boy, this being a side of her that she’d never felt comfortable enough sharing with absolutely anyone. No one knew about the fact she secretly read manga or twirled around her room acting like Kristine from the Phantom of the Opera. Although, these were tiny pieces of herself that she thought maybe Stitch would be okay with, yet she never found the right time to ever bring it up or even think about it. In fact, even thinking about it caused her to build up with worry that he’d never speak to her if she ever did show him who she really was. Instead she just tried her best to smile and talk normally. “What have you been working on? Anything interesting?” Small talk usually was her forte but she was struggling in this moment. “Don’t apologize, it’s alright. My room is obnoxiously clean so it’s kind of nice to not feel like everything is perfectly in it’s place. If you want I can clean up a bit though, I really don’t mind.” The second after she said that Daisy felt like a moron. Her mental panic was making the idleness of her hands much more aware to her. “Even if you did, it’s okay, I wouldn’t blame you. I’m just Daisy. Nothing special.” A shrug of her shoulders was about all she could give. In her mind she was no one and never would be. “There’s nothing wrong with being busy. Have you been good though?”
Storm let out a small combination of a laugh and a sigh at the blonde’s words, a small flush coming back to his cheeks as he realized how geeky he might sound at the next words to leave his lips. “Well, uh, sure. If you happen to find studying for a physics thing interesting at all...” The older boy had never felt more comfortable yet nervous around anyone else before. With Daisy, he felt that he could truly be himself with no judgement whatsoever; it was nice, yet freaking terrifying; and he had to keep himself from contemplating what it would be like if he left his guard down for her just this once. How would she react? Sure so far she only ever showed him nothing but kindness but maybe what she saw would change her mind of...whatever it was she thought of him. It was too big of a risk. He was just a space obsessed freak who would just lock himself up in his room and listen to Twenty One Pilots for the rest of the day if he were given the chance. Who, behind closed doors, loved his cat Rocco more than anything else and staying up late after a long study session to watch a documentary on some weird random topic he happened to stumble upon. Who boxed in hopes of keeping his anger management in check, trying to punch away at all the reasons he had to believe he was useless. He was just too rough around the edges. He was too caught up in his own mind to notice that she herself was struggling with the conversation at hand. The Hawaiian boy chewed on his lower lip, mentally scolding himself for letting the room get this bad, embarrassed that Daisy had to see him this way, but listening to her next words, a small smirk began to tug at his lips. “Maybe I should come by to mess it up a bit sometime?” He offered jokingly, letting his mind wander for a moment on how her room must look...it was probably just as soft and pretty as she was...smelling like peaches and vanilla like she always did and-- It wasn’t until she offered to help clean that he was snapped out of his thoughts, immediately turning a way from her as he realized how creepy it would be if she knew what he was just thinking as he stumbled over his words, his blush growing darker. “Uh, n-no. Of course not! You’re a guest...um, c-could I get you anything? Like, water or a sl-slice of pizza?” Stitch took a moment to look the younger girl over at her next statement, not entirely sure how to answer her, since he was more than sure he would probably say the same thing were he in her place. “....For all its worth, ‘just Daisy’ ‘s pretty great to me...” He kept his gaze on the floor, not sure how she would react to the words he couldn’t quite stop from escaping. “Over all I’ve been fine, I guess. How have you been?”
