‘Kacchan’s amazing!’ Even in the middle of a spare, it’s all Izuku could think. His rival was quick and agile, his explosions precise and powerful. Kacchan was incredible. Falling to the mats in the gym with the blonde left him breathless. The feeling of his childhood friends body and anger left him in his room flustered for hours afterwards. The blonde threw his hands up. "Damn it Deku! You aren't taking this seriously still! Are you still looking down on me you shitty nerd?!" Katsuki was almost shaking with anger. He slammed a fist into the gym floor next to the shorter boy, letting it ignite in a small cluster of explosions. Not with his usual vigor. Just sparring wasn't enough to bend him out of shape. But his fist fell close enough to Izuku that the space around them was filled with burning hair.

"Get up!" Katsuki growled using a hand to shove himself up. "If you spend all your time staring at me it proves you aren't taking this seriously! Now come at me Deku!"
