The blonde shifted slightly, almost l leaning forward to her brother as she saw him move. “Are you in pain?” Violet asked concerned. “You can try but I’d find you eventually.” She warned him with a playful smile. His words were comforting but she knew he couldn’t promise her that, after all, he couldn’t always be by her side.”Yeah, okay, thank you, Drew.”

Andrew shrugged, though it was somewhat of a mistake. “I’ve had worse.” He offered his sister a smile in an attempt to calm her worries. “Why does that scare me so much?” He asked, joking with the blonde. Andrew wasn’t quite sure she believed his words, which was fair enough considering at the present moment he was confined to a hospital bed. But... He chose to drop it regardless and simply offered her a smile. “How is everyone else?” He asked.

An amused but also proud smile came to Andrew’s lips as his sister spoke. He had only been joking, of course, but it was still nice to see her put her foot down in so many ways. “That hurts, Vi.” He joked, the smile growing slightly. “But I suppose you’re right. I think the sass is more painful though.” Andrew laughed lightly and nodded. “Not for sure, no.” He agreed. “But with some confidence… They might not have caught them, but they are going to be extra careful about things like this now. And that’s definitely going to help.”

Violet found herself grinning as she saw her brother smiling. “Good, now you know to behave yourself or else you face my new found sass.” She replied with a light laugh. A sigh left her lips., she knew what he was saying made sense yet it didn’t make her feel any safer. “I guess…”

Andrew chuckled at her words, shaking his head before readjusting his position on the bed. It was painful, but it was bound to be after the trouble he had gotten into. Better than it could have been. "I'll need to start hiding from you after doing stupid things." He joked, offering a smile. Noticing she didnt fully believe his words, he frowned. "Vi." He said softly. "I won't let anything happen to you, okay?"

“I’m sure they would but I’ve never been one to mince my words while talking to you. Plus if you’re big and ugly enough to put yourself in a situation like that you’re big and ugly enough to deal with my sass.” She teased with a small smirk. A small laugh worked it’s way out of her mouth at her brother’s comment. “I suppose it isn’t.” She agreed with a smile. Violet looked down at their hands and forced a smile to her face. His words made her feel a little better but it didn’t stop that fear that had settled in the pit of her stomach. “You can’t say that for sure. I mean, they haven’t even caught the people behind it.”

“Again, disagree but carry on being delusional if you want.” The words probably sounded sassier than she’d meant them to but the blonde just gave a shrug. “I’d rather be honest than promise you and end up having to break that promise. I mean, I’m not planning on doing anything dangerous but never say never, right?” She was just like Andrew on that account if there was a situation where she had to put herself in danger to help others she was definitely going to do it. Violet gave a soft sigh at his next question. “I’d be lying if I said I was fine, but it’s not so much just being in a burning building – it’s more about the calculated attack on the town. It was scary. I admit it took me two hours and a panic attack to eventually leave the house.”

“You know, some people would consider that insensitive after the bump to my head.” Andrew said, the smile playing on the corner of his lips evidence that he was kidding. The blond took in a breath, held it for a moment while he considered her comment and finally let it out. “I suppose that’s not the least comforting thing you could have said.” She could have had active plans to get involved in dangerous situations. A frown found its way to his features as his sister spoke, and he squeezed her hand in assurance. “This is the first time that anything like this has happened.” He said, meeting her gaze. “It won’t happen again.” He wasn’t sure of that, but he did want her to feel safer.

“I totally disagree. I don’t feel like there’s ever a time where I don’t worry about you. I mean, you’re notorious for doing careless things.” The blonde pointed out, raising her brow with a small smirk. It didn’t really bother her, of course, she wished he wouldn’t put himself in dangerous situations but she knew that was just Andrew. “I’ll try not to but I can’t make any promises.” She replied, returning the squeeze of the hand. “Yeah, but I wasn’t hurt.”

“That’s an exaggeration.” He argued. Though, if he were to give it even a little more thought then he might have seen her point far more. “I wish you would.” He said, shaking his head. “But it’s still not a nice situation -- are you sure you’re okay?”

The stiffness and aching in his muscles was definitely something he wasn’t used to. “Slow down, Vi.” He almost laughed, a smile finding its way to his lips. “I am fine.” He said, and he was about to continue before he remembered the situation Violet had been in herself before he’d found himself in hospital. “Are you okay?”

“Careful.” She warned him as he moved, her eyes remaining on him to make sure he was okay. A sheepish look made its way to her face as he told her to slow down while laughing. “Sorry, I don’t mean to bombard you. I’ve just been worried.” The blonde explained with a small smile. “Oh, thank god.” She gave a sigh of relief. “I want to shout at you and tell you never to do that again but at the same time I know it was the right thing to do,” Violet admitted while fiddling with the hem of her top. “Yeah, I’m fine. It’s you we need to worry about.”

"I know, Vi." Andrew offered a small smile. "But you don't need to worry about me, okay?" Not that him telling her that would likely make her worry less. The blond's lips curled in to a small smile and he took her hand to give it a squeeze. "It was." He nodded. "And I can't think of any better application of my powers. Just promise me you'll never do anything quite as stupid." He laughed lightly. "You were trapped in a burning building, I think I can worry about you too."

“Wake me up when it is 2030.” He replied, a small smile finding its way to his lips just before he began opening his eyes. It was impossibly bright. “Like I’ve been hit by a bus… Or maybe a tank. And then it reversed back over me.” He laughed lightly, though that didn’t do much for the pain. “How is your sister?”

Spencer gave a light laugh while shaking his head at the male. “That was very specific, why 2030?” He asked tilting his head slightly. A tight smile made its way to his face. “I can imagine.” He replied giving the male a sympathetic look. “They were lucky you were there to help,” Spencer stated, a sigh leaving his lips as he thought of what the consequences could have been if the blond had been somewhere else. “Not great but hopefully with a few days rest she’ll be able to come back home.”

Andrew shrugged slightly, tilting his head to the side. "Eleven years seemed an acceptable timeframe for sleep." He laughed lightly. "They got out without me there. I just helped keep the building in a better state." He shook his head, downplaying his role slightly. A small smile found its way to his lips and he nodded. "Good. You're sister is insane, you know?" He said, knowing full well that she had only done exactly what he had.

Violet felt her heart leap in her chest as she heard her brother speak. She found herself jumping to her feet and making her way to his bedside. “Drew, thank god.” The blonde stated, gently taking his hand. “How are you feeling? Are you in pain? Should I get the doctor?”

Reagan was too nervous to even reply to Andrew’s joking, instead she remained silent as she watched him work. She was weirdly fascinated, scared and nervous all at the same time as the numbers counted down. As the ground began to shake and the timer finally reached to zero, Reagan waited on baited breath to see if it worked and if he was successful with his plan and hoped that it wouldn’t have to resort for her to step in. She wanted to say something but also didn’t want to distract him or break his concentration, as she could see that this was difficult enough for him. “Drew? The blast is still going to reach them.” You could hear the apprehension and terror in her voice as the realisation set in.

The blonde could feel his muscles begin to ache as the explosion still pushed back at him. He knew how powerful they could get, having made them, he should have been expecting the force. “It won’t reach them.” He said, the words coming slowly as he was clearly struggling to focus on speaking and containing the blast but attempting anyway. “They should be far enough away now -- right?” He asked, though knew she wouldn’t have much clue either. Not that it meant he would loosen his grasp on the explosion. He still had Reagan to worry about, of course. Still, the inches by which the explosion was growing even with him attempting to stop it was not good. “You should go -- it shouldn’t hurt them. But --” He didn’t really have to continue. It was obvious that he had diminished the blast somewhat, but it was proving difficult to fully negate. He stepped back, almost as if to get a better stance and grip on the explosion -- which likely seemed ridiculous without being able to feel its strength the way he could. His increasingly heavy breathing was likely indication that was the case, however. "I can hold it for a little longer."

The blonde watched as the red numbers on the clock counted down, getting eerily close to the dreaded number zero. Part of him wondered if this was just some elaborate plan, and he supposed that was why it had taken some individuals a while to follow through with the plan to escape via a tunnel under the building. He wasn’t sure how well that was going, being in the centre of the building with only the bomb and Reagan as company. The clock hit 00:00:20 and he looked up to the woman. “There’s still time to go.” He said, hoping that she might reconsider in the final moments. Though, he knew it wasn’t likely. 00:00:17. “I can handle it alone.” He assured her, beginning to prepare himself a couple of feet in front of the bomb. 00:00:15.

“I’m staying. We’ve already established it’s not something you can talk me out of so we’re wasting time arguing.” Reagan replied stubbornly as she took her place standing next to him. “Besides, if this goes wrong and you’re not able to do whatever it is you do, then we’re going to need to limit this blast somehow so we’ll have to pray that my way works as a back up plan.” She sounded a lot more confident than she actually felt, as her palms began to sweat.

"You can't blame a guy for trying." He said with a shrug. 00:00:10. "I see you have a lot of faith in me." He joked, gaze now fixing in the bomb so he knew exactly when to catch the blast. 00:00:05. "Hopefully we don't need your backup plan." 00:00:02. Andrew took a deep breath, readying himself. 00:00:01. His muscles tensed ready to catch the blast. 00:00:00. It was almost as if they were watching in slow motion. The explosion was strong even from the beginning, pushing him back a foot or so. He could feel the ground directly beneath them shake. But focussing on containing it, they could see the blast suspended in place just a foot or two from the device, which was now in pieces. He supposed the bad thing about his power was that he needed there to be an explosion first. His muscles bulged as he attempted to condense the blast, ensure its range was impacted. The veins in his arms were evidence of how physically strenuous this was for him - much harder than what he was used to. He breathing got heavier, and where Andrew had been collapsing the explosion, it forced itself out again, only a few inches but the strength of the explosion was obvious. And he didn't know how long he could hold it. However, he was confident that the range of the blast had been limited. "Persistent bastard." He said through his teeth.

“I don’t matter. She is all that matters.” Reagan stated, not allowing anything else to be said. “I’ve put things into place for if that were to ever happen. As long as she makes it through this then I will do everything I can.” If something were to happen and her contingency plans fell through, there was always the back up plan of Luna’s father. Though it didn’t help that he had no idea that the little girl existed but it was better she end up with him than Reagan’s own father. “But it’s possible? What if I said I could help you?”

“And wouldn’t she be safest with her mother?” He questioned, though he was sure that it wouldn’t make much of a difference. “If those things are Spencer, he’s going to be so pissed at me.” Andrew thought about the idea of controlling a bomb through this method -- he wasn’t sure how powerful it was, but it seemed doable to him without any outside help. It is true that he wouldn’t want to risk that, but he didn’t want to put Spencer’s sister at risk either. Still, he owed it to her to hear her out. “How?”

“She’s the reason I can’t sit doing nothing. I can’t let anything happen to her Andrew. I just I can’t.” Her voice choked up at the mere thought of it. “If there’s something that I can do which will mean she makes it out of this, then I’ll do it.” Of course that meant that her mind was already trying to come up with various plans and possibilities of what she could do, though getting the blonde to go along with it could prove difficult especially with him being close to Spencer. “How much control of it could you have?” Her lips pursed in thought.

"And if something happens to you while you're trying to make sure nothing happens to her?" He questioned. Though it was a bit hypocritical because she was doing exactly what he would do in that situation. But, Spencer asked him to keep her safe, so he had to at least try and talk her down. "Creating them? A lot... Manipulating a bomb after detonation? I've not tried that one yet." He admitted. There was no use pretending it was going to be smooth sailing.

“And what happens if you make things worse?” It was a pathetic attempt to try and convince him not to do it but it was all she could think of that may cause him to rethink his idea. “You can’t say that for sure.” She replied, her eyes brimming with tears at the thought. “And how do you suppose I do that? If there was a way out we wouldn’t be in this situation.” Robin pointed out before pausing slightly, “Wait, help Violet? What wrong with her?”

“What could be much worse than a bomb going off?” The blond asked his friend. Although there was a possibility she was right, he felt that it was more likely that he would be able to contain it. “I can say it with confidence that I’m right.” He wasn’t sure if he was actually confident about that, but he was certainly good at faking it. “Someone should be able to get you out of here -- there’ll be something.” Andrew ran a hand through his hair. “She’s stuck in the school and there’s a fire...” He sighed. He wasn’t sure how to help her in this position.
