Learning about the abbreviations used in note-taking has been useful, and I'm glad I've had the opportunity to be taught it from the resources of Manchester University.

I've learnt that you can use abbreviations such as AKA (as known as), w/o (without) and more! (I'll attach it so I can continue to refer back). Note-taking is very important for an essay-based project, I've started my research and shortening long pieces of work has proven difficult. With these I can take short, and effective notes to refer back to when I need them.

Thursday Meeting 19.01.2023

In the after-school meeting, we've learnt about the depths of researching for your topic.

The split-screen technique was explained to us, in which you split your screen (not a literal screen) with one side having research, and the other your thoughts and opinions. I'll definitely be using this to help with researching for my project.

Booked a pod at Crosby Library to study with a friend for my Extended Project Qualification.

After listening to an interesting Spotify podcast, ‘The Complicated History of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’ by Corporate Casket, I’ve concluded my main title for my EPQ. To what extent did Social Media affect the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard case? I enjoyed listening to the history behind the lawsuit itself, and the two, it’s given me a lot of motivation for my dissertation.
