Welcome Back, Kotter and I Dream of Jeannie are both great sitcoms, and Columbo is incredible imo but I'm sure you've heard that recommendation before given it's popularity here in Tumblr

my top recommendation though would be Soap, it's a satire of Soap Operas but it's really funny and emotional, plus it was pretty progressive for its time. Absolutely wonderful and well written cast of characters, including an openly gay character. fair warning though, the fourth and final season ends on a big cliffhanger because it got cancelled mid season, so there's not really a conclusive finale.
