Potentially unpopular opinion - I want to see more of Nick Nelson being attracted to girls in the comic and/or show.

Most of the time Nick’s bisexuality is told to us rather than shown to us by him constantly saying “I’m bi actually.”

That isn’t bad necessarily, but even though I know Nick is bi I sometimes struggle to view him that way because the story usually shows us more evidence of him experiencing same sex attraction. We of course have Nick being attracted to Charlie, but we also have him being attracted to Jack Maddox and him recounting an anecdote of a same sex crush from when he was younger (my memory’s hazy on that last one but I know it happened at some point). When it comes to Nick being attracted to girls, all we have is a couple ‘blink and you miss it’ moments - the Pirates of the Caribbean movie scene and the younger Nick kissing Tara scene.

I think it would be fun to have a scene in a public place with the gang, where a girl with dark curly hair walks past — maybe walking her dog or something and maybe Nick is walking Nellie as well — and Nick clearly notices her and gets a little flustered. And everyone stares at Nick, surprised, except for Tara, who’s like “Did you all forget Nick is bi?” in a ‘duh’ voice. And then maybe Darcy’s like “oh my gosh I forgot you were attracted to girls too!!” and then Charlie looks over at the girl and says teasingly — “I can see why you like her; she’s basically the girl version of me” and Nick’s like “CHAR-LIE” all embarrassed and then he looks at the girl again and he’s like “okay, you have a point.” And Charlie’s grinning like “oh my gosh” and Nick’s like ‘come here’ and they kiss. Or something like that.

If Alice Oseman doesn’t do this I guess I will write a fanfic because this scene needs to exist imo. Maybe someone could create a fan art of it too?
