Nagumo knew that this day would eventually come. He just wasn't expecting it to happen so fast. But then again, considering the amount of people that came and left the soccer club, it couldn't be helped. Didn't mean he had to be excited about it, though.
"...A kyokusei? Wasn't really expecting it to happen, but I'm not complaining."
"A new roommate? This should go well."
[huffs at that shrug and shoves more strawberry pocky in his mouth, beetling his brows at you. Is too busy chewing to actually reply, though, because his mouth is full. gives you a very judgmental look when you ask that, though, and raises his hand pointedly.]
It hasn't even been a full thirty minutes yet into this little discussion of theirs and already he's received more than enough looks and stares from Io. This had to be a new record or something for him.
His brows furrow a bit at Io's action, and he's at a bit of a loss as to what to take it as. "Oi, the hell is that supposed to mean? Give me something here, don't just raise your hand."

The delivery of the reply that came afterwards was completely expected, though. NagumoĀ wasĀ Nagumo, after all.Ā
"Youāre an extremely capable person and soccer player, but you have a bit of a tendency to push yourself past your limits." His smile wavered only to give way to a chuckle, sounding smoothly and effortlessly from his lips, "The body is a delicate thing, Haruya. Youāve got to take care of it."
Oh, people they knew? Letās thinkā¦
"Iāve seen Midorikawaā¦QuiteĀ a bit of him, actually.ā Even back at their former home heād never shown any hesitance in voicing the soft spot he had for the green-headed bookworm and, clearly, he had no intention of starting now. āKariya came with him. Thereās also Fubuki-kun and his brother, from Raimon, if you remember them.ā
He mentally went through the list of familiar faces. There were some that he could pretty much guess without asking that Nagumo wouldnāt know them, but there were otherās that they had mutual knowledge of. The last one stood out in particular. āAhā If Iām not mistaken, I even heard Aphrodi-kunās staying here. You played on the same team, right? Thatāll be a nice reunion.āĀ
Leave it to Mr. Goody-Two-Shoes to show concern about his well-being. As much as Nagumo may have disliked it, Hiroto knew about his habit of over-practicing. The times where he'd stay behind after practicing with his team, using that time to improve upon his individual skills.Ā
And just like Hiroto mentioned, there were times where he would go past his limits. Most times it left him feeling sore all over, sometimes requiring the help of another person to help him back on his feet. He knew what the risks were for pushing himself like he did and yet continued on with it, even now. Some habits were really hard to break.
"Yeah, yeah... I don't need you to remind me."Ā
"And why am I not surprised to hear that?" Nagumo wasn't the nicest sibling to Midorikawa when they were younger, but he knew how close of a bond Hiroto shared with the other boy. You'd have to be practically blind to not see the way they were in front of one another.Ā He wasn't going to bother pressing any further on the subject, only giving a small nod in acknowledgement as Hiroto listed off several other familiar names.
Ah, Kariya... He'd have to put some time aside one of these days and hang out with him. And Fubuki and his brother, whats-his-face...? Ataru? Atsuo? Something among those lines. He wasn't buddy-buddy with them or anything, but he didn't dislike them either. Hearing the name of a certain blond did manage to get a response out of him.
"Yeah, we did. I haven't run into him on campus yet, but I'm bound to sooner or later."
