I’m thinking more about the evil old men, and as much as I like Simon with Maxwell and Simon with Hezekiah, I feel as if Simon is a bit more cheerful than all the other avatars which made me consider the idea of taking him out of equation entirely. Ok I have some random thoughts but I don’t think they’re cohesive.

Can’t think of a name but oh well

We have: door and key and fall and landing

Or we have: Two Leitner hunters and two people who tried to escape their respective entity, until it inevitably took them anyway

Or: two dead goths trying so hard to be normal only to fail and two fractal monsters named Michael, the only difference between the two being that one escaped their respective entity spiral, one didn’t.

Or: three people so determined not to become an avatar that they did and one person who was well on his way when he died.

Or: four people trying so goddamn to live a simple life and failing miserably

I really like this goddamit.

It’s got to be Gerry who holds them all together. Who introduced Shelley to Crew and Crew who hated Shelley for what it was until he realized they were the same person, the only difference being that he escaped the spiral, and dropped into its arms in guilt. It had to be Oliver who would have given Crew his life back after he was shot, and Oliver who cleaned the dirt he hacked up from the floor. And it would have to be Gerry who in 2014 died somewhere in America, leading to Shelley going away from them forever.
