REALLY HARD TO SAY but he seems like a decent enough member of the group. hes like their dog that they sick on people. i think itd be really funny if the cultists enjoy ignacio and his capabilities but he hates them all and just wants to get the job over with. and they HAVE to respect his space because otherwise hed break their bones and get away with it

ignacio strikes me as the type of guy that feels personally wronged by the town, so his tasks are destructive. his Everything consists purely of personal grudges thatve been building up over the years. mayor evermore tells him to set some guys home ablaze and hes like "thank god finally his wife makes the most disgusting ass meatloaf at the potluck". and then he rewards himself by keeping the remaining heirlooms of his victims to burn later or bury in his backyard

the ex-cop theory is really good... even my gfs theory that he had a wife and child that he lost is reason enough for the cult to take him in and help him "get revenge" on anyone hes jealous of, even if they dont pity him whatsoever. they love this lil guy he smells like tobacco
