Writer’s Month 2020 Mobile Masterpost
Hello, darlings! Writer’s Month is back for its second edition in 2020 and there are some small changes as well as a whole new set of prompts! You can, as always, find them in our pages, but seeing as those are only accessible on desktop and Tumblr has (for once) rolled out a helpful update allowing us to pin posts, here’s all you need to know about Writer’s Month, mobile user edition.
Writer’s Month is a monthly prompt challange encouraging writers to create, happening all through the month of August every year. The idea originated from the artist equivalent that is Inktober, when the mods thought it would be nice to have something like this for writers. It’s an open challange, there’s no sign ups required, no minimum wordcount or required genre. We accept fiction, non-fiction, fanfic, original work, poetry, prose - the idea is just to have fun and make content!
1. All fandoms and ships are welcomed. So is original content. These prompts are for everyone to fill with whatever they want to write! Which also means: No bashing/attacking people.
2. NSFW content is allowed, but please tag it accordingly!
3. For writers with an AO3 account, we made an AO3 collection that you can submit your work into! It’s not a requirement to post your work on tumblr; likewise is it not required to post on AO3. One of them is enough!
4. All works submitted on tumblr whave should be tagged with #writersmonth2020 or else we can’t reblog it on here!
5. There is no word count limit, minimum or maximum. Write a drabble or a novel, whatever you feel inspired for.
6. Everyone who completes the entire prompt challenge receives a badge!
7. As of 2020, the rules for marking down full fills have changed: instead of the mods tracking progress through tags, after you completed all you managed this month (not necessarily all 31 prompts), you need to make a masterpost with all works linked - if there are 31 fills done and linked in the masterpost, we will know to get you the special badge! If not, you still get the participation certificate.
