Anyway even if this has been a sfw blog, I’m jumping ship because I hate mass-censorship online and really don’t have any desire to hang on a site that is “family-oriented” or for children.

Y’all can catch me over on Pillowfort as Eyofin, and I highly encourage anyone who wants a fun fandom experience to check it out. You have to pay $5, but I think that’s a good thing for three reasons:

1. It makes the users the consumers. We are the ones that pillowfort is aiming to please, rather than bending over backwards to ride the dicks of advertising companies to make money. No reason for non-chronological timelines and bullshit algorithms that screws over everyone but corporations. User feedback and improving user satisfaction becomes a much higher priority.

2. $5 paywall is going to filter out a lot of the kiddos. I’ve whined for a while on my other tumblr account about how I hate the whole “think of the children” crusade when it comes to policing online fandom content. I’d be more than happy to find a space for like-minded adults to enjoy our fandoms in peace, and having to pay a little bit of cash will help ensure that no 10 y/o can just wander in and face ”””””corruption””””” from fandom content.

3. Paywall inherently prevents pornbot and spam account problems. No worries about your tag being flooded with garbage. Nobody can make throwaway accounts. You’re inherently invested in the one account you pay for, which will help hold users just a little more accountable. It’ll hurt a lot more if people do shitty stuff that gets them banned because they can’t just make another without spending more cash.
