The Chicago Bulls 1998 season was a lot like Abbey Road; there were insurmountable divisions within the band and everyone knew it was the final hurrah before going their separate ways. Similar to Scottie Pippen, Lennon started the sessions injured and only occasionally participating. John and Yoko had been involved in a car accident and literally brought a bed into the studio to recover as the band worked. Lennon wanted out - he had tried to quit in '68 but was reluctantly talked out of it. Michael Jordan is the Paul McCartney - both are competitive workhorses. Jordan & The Wizards are akin to McCartney and Wings - the post Beatles/Bulls band. Steve Kerr is the George Harrison in that both would do their finest work after the band split: Kerr as head coach of Golden State and George Harrison with his six-times platinum All Things Must Pass.
