"That's the last of them."
Tay wipes the sweat from her forehead. Her clothes stained with dark dust. Hatred could be seen from her expressionless mask.
"You didn't even help. Why are you complaining?"
"Are you gaslighting me?—"
"SILENT—" Tay covers her ears.
"Sorry, Vessel of Fate... We can."
"Apologies accepted. I know we're going on the right way because more and more enemies are approaching. That could only mean one thing..."
"Kaosa is escaping her confinement."
"That is not allowed." Tyche says the statement with a low tone.
After a while, they finally reached the entrance of a temple.
"Well. When you said this place is indestructible, you really meant that, huh?"
"I got a feeling that Phoenix is here... If I'm correct, I think that guy who's watching us, who made this mazes and puzzles for Parrot, and who kidnapped Phoenix is Kaosa's vessel—"
"But that is impossible. I had punished her with a curse of loneliness. The only way for a Deity to have a Vessel, is when they made a pact physically."
"So? What's stopping her from doing so with this... Person you're talking about?"
"Nobody knows she existed. How would anyone, specifically that player, or if they are even a player, find her?"
"And... Nobody knows she existed because...?"
As they entered, they are greeted with stone statues. Yet, all of their head seems to be missing.
"So... Are you going to tell me that or?..."
"I bound her to an inescapable Temple. This one specifically."
"Oh okay— Wait You WHAT?"
"We explained this to you—"
Tay was about to speak when Tyche interrupted her.
"I sensed Phoenix presence. This way."
As they went through halls after halls after halls—
The wall was made out of sandstone, and the entrance of the room has no door. Inside, there's only a stone and 2 redstone torches.
"Tyche. May I know the event outcome for Phoenix?"
{Phoenix: Hurt, but alive}
"Are you sure he's... Here?"
"Have I ever wrong in my judgement?"
"Fair point. But... This room—"
"He's here. His presence, is here."
"Okay... Then where is he—"
Tay's eyes laid upon something peculiar.
There's a crack on the stone.
"What? What did you find?"
"There's a crack on this stone."
"Void. This block is cobblestone. Cobblestones shouldn't have cracks on them"
Tay takes out a Netherite pickaxe and starts mining the block. The durability of the block didn't falter.
"Tyche, give me a mace with full windburst enchantment and Maximum strength."
"Woah WOAH WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO?"
Tyche gives Tay the weapon.
"If I'm correct... The only way to beat a cheat code—"
With a swing, she smash the stone block with the mace.
Dust flying all around, and she clears the mist of dust.
Tay tends the small bird, his left arm seem to be injured, but overall, the little bird is okay with just a little bruises.
"Big... Mama?" Phoenix sound so weak, it is heartbreaking.
"Yes, yes... I'm here—" Tay embraces the little child.
"Who trapped you in there?!"
"Poor thing... You must have been so scared... No worries, your mama will heal you—"
Suddenly, the room flashes with particles of instant health.
"I'm going to delete that entity when I meet them."
"Coo!" Phoenix smile, clearly showing the potions worked. Yet, he indicates that his left arm is still broken.
"Perhaps it took sometimes for this one to heal. But that's okay! Come, let's wrap it up."
Tay used her cloak to wrap Phoenix's arm. The small bird chirp with happiness.
"Vessel. We need to find Kaosa now. I need confirmation from her."
"Right. Phoenix. We're going home after this... But you need to be brave, can you do that?"
"Coo! Like we praktis! Phoenix never scared!"
Tay lifts Phoenix up. "Exactly."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They went deeper into the temple.
After climbing down multiple stairs. They reached a huge door. The door was so high, Tay and Phoenix sizes was comparable to an ant beneath the mountain.
"Perhaps you're right, Vessel."
Strangely, the huge door was supposed to be closed. Yet, it seems there's a small gap between the door.
Tay removes her mask, and from the mask, Tyche physical form appears.
"Not now, child. You have an aunt to visit."
And with that command, the door swing open, revealing a single entity inside. Her feet chained to the ground. She's sitting on a throne, with an orb placed on top of a table Infront of her. The room was lighted up with 8 torches, 4 on the left wall, 4 on the right. As they enter, the door closes behind them.
Tyche stare at the entity. Their design... Is almost similar to each other. Except...
Tyche mask has eyes to see yet no mouth to speak. This chained deity has a mouth to shout, yet no eyes to cry.
"You have no rights to call me that."
Tay holds Phoenix tighter.
"Well... I was waiting for another to arrived... Yet they never did... How strange... I gave them a choice they can't refuse! Yet here you are..."
"You're still thinking making a changing a choice can prevent a predetermined fate?"
"That thought never left me... Even after you chained me."
"When I confined you in this place... I give you the freedom to look over player's choices. Yet your voices will never affect them anymore. That, to prove your point will never be true."
Kaosa remain silence. She stares at the orb.
Tyche moves closer to the throne.
"How did you sent those shadow creatures of yours to affect people's choices? Who, opened your chamber's door?"
Then, Kaosa turn her face towards.
With an inhale, Kaosa laugh. Phoenix was scared, Tay holds him close and reassure him everything is okay while keeping her distance from the 2 powerful deities.
"My current vessel succeeded, then. I thought my influence is gone... Yet here we are. My vessel proposed a plan to help me escape my confinement... And it works... Tyche."
"You're not leaving here."
"I am aware. Yet I didn't have to be anywhere to spread my influence, yes? Sooner or later, I'll succeed. I'll escape. And I'll make sure—"
Kaosa stands, her smile wide.
"You'll regret killing my beloved vessel, Gus, and prove to you an absolute prophecy can be avoided by choices—"
Tyche words are a command. In an instant, Kaosa sat on the throne.
"I had looked into all the possibilities. And I can reassure you..."
Tyche reveal her arms, and summoned a long staff stick.
"There's not a single possibility where you'll escape and proves me wrong."
Tyche tap the floor with the long staff twice. Immediately, the room was full of strange glyphs.
"I had removed any magical powers you had. So no more shadows creation from you."
The chain that bind Kaosa, also shines with strange patterns surrounding it.
"So, still thinking you're right?"
"You just proved why I hated you."
Tyche's staff disappeared.
"I'll make sure the door was closed and locked with a new spell. And about your new vessel—"
"They'll be dead before they know it."
"My vessel will make sure of it. Goodbye. Kaosa."
Tyche turns away from the deity. Yet, perhaps Kaosa had controlled her anger for a while. She formed a spike from the shadows of her room...
Aims it at Tyche— But she changed her target towards Tay and Phoenix.
The spike flew at them. Phoenix warned Tay about the spike.
Tay gasp, the spike was so fast she couldn't react. Yet, the spike crumbled before it managed to strike Tay.
Without looking back at Kaosa, Tyche said:
"You are pathetic. What a shame that we shared the same blood."
Tay lays her eyes upon Kaosa, who's clearly showing disgust towards her. Nonetheless, she's still a deity.
Tay bow her head to show her respect.
They go outside, and with a command from Tyche, the door closes and locked. Unable to be mined, immune to explosion, even pearling inside was impossible.
Tyche stare at the door for a while.
"She must feel a little sad about it, right?"
"Aren't you tired holding on to Phoenix?"
"Uppies!" Tyche takes Phoenix from Tay and holds him gently.
"...No. let's go home. Void. Open your portal."
"Hey what?— IS THAT WHY YOU BRING ME ALONG???"
Tay removes the bracelet, and it transformed into Void. "Hey, it's fair though. We kept you safe throughout this journey."
"I THOUGHT THAT'S BECAUSE YOU WANT ME TO SAFELY RETURN HOME TO FLUX?"
I'm never trusting any of you again."
Tay pat Void gently. "It's... kinda the least that you could do."
"Fine..." Void opens a Portal, and all of them went through.
From the distance, an entity watches them.
