MY MOTHER’S PAIN DOES NOT PAUSE WHEN PEOPLE SCROLL AWAY.
While you are reading this, my mother is struggling to breathe.
While I am writing these words, she is carrying the same pain she carried yesterday, and the day before, and every day before that.
I wish I could protect her from all of this. I wish I could tell her that help is coming. Instead, all I can do is watch the strongest person I know become weaker with each passing day.
We are five children, and nothing prepares you for the feeling of seeing your mother suffer while being unable to give her the treatment she needs.
I am holding on to hope because I have nothing else left to hold on to.
If you can help, please consider donating. If you cannot, please share our story. One act of kindness could reach the person who helps change my mother’s future.
