Where he came from, ah, well, at this point of time it didn’t seem to matter. Although she seemed to have regained her composure surprisingly quickly.
“… I come from a village, it’s called Tazmily-“ Lucas pauses and a sheepish look seems to take over his expression.
“-I kind of miscalculated a few things, it’s not the first time I’ve gotten lost in a new place. Though now that someone else is here, I think I’ll be fine.”
With that said he walks closer, then kneels down beside her to keep them at the same level. “Are you sure you’re okay? Why were you crying? Errr, if it’s okay for me to ask that is.” He just really didn’t like seeing others crying, although he found himself in situations sometimes.
Mary eyed the boy warily as he made his way closer to her, sitting all the way back down on the floor when he crouched near her. She didn't know where he'd come from if he'd come from some sort of village, or how he'd gotten inside the gallery---- but he certainly wasn't from the gallery.
If Mary had been feeling a bit better, that prospect would have excited her.
New people in the gallery was a symbol of many meanings. She could finally have a friend, someone to keep her company and be her family in the way that Ib hadn't. This boy seemed more friendly than her first friend had... but... she could also use him to escape if she was quick about it. Decisions, decisions.
"Stupid stuff," she mumbled, wiping at her eyes again with a final sniffle. She was quick to cease the tears-- she was good at that whenever the other paintings would appear. She pulled her knees to her chest, hugging them as she watched him curiously.
"Who are you?"
「☁」 — Golden, slightly curly hair with bangs that adorned her face, cheerful sapphire eyes, a simple green dress, and a warm smile that made Mitsuko do the same. The girl was practically the figure of blissful innocence. But what was she doing here by herself?
❀ ~ ❀ ~ ❀ ❝Exploring, she says..❞ the girl murmured, but quickly answered, ❝Ah, I live around here, see? My name is Mitsuko.❞ A giggle. ❝What’re you doing out here all on your own?❞
The girl thought about her answer before settling for: "I'm visiting here, I'm a little far from my own home." If she was totally honest, she was a whole world away from her real home-- though that door was locked behind her. She had no interest in ever returning to the gallery.
"It's very pretty here."
As he heard the voice of the young girl, he opened his eyes, and turned his head towards where the voice was coming from. She seemed rather young.. She had to be ten or nine, most likely. She couldn’t possibly be any older than that, right? She just seemed too young to be.
The name of the song, you ask? Well.. I believe the title is something among the lines “River Flows in You.” He smiled lightly at the girl. It is quite a beautiful song, really. Probably one of my favorites!
"I like it." Mary smiled in return, stepping forward to sit on the bench beside the man. He seemed nice, and she liked his purple hair-- it made her wonder if people could have blue hair, too. She beamed at him, leaning into the back of the seat. "My name's Mary! Who're you?"
