HER ATTENTION had been elsewhere other than it should have been; on the work in front of her on her desk. instead her attention was averted outside, settled on a particular tree that looked as if it was threatening to bloom. thank god, she thought. she could do with a day wherein it wasn’t so damn cold. however, when a voice filled her ears ( unfamiliar, yet familiar at the same time ), her attention was drawn to the visage of sookie. ‘ hm ? ’ she asked through a hum, mindless, as if to portray that she hadn’t heard what the other girl had asked of her ‘ what was that ? ’
