he’d been waiting outside the infirmary room finn was in, his fingers nervously fiddling with the jacket in his hands until he sees finn emerge and a smile breaks out on his face. he’s been so tired, so afraid, and seeing finn there whole and out of the bacta suit? it was enough for just a moment. “hey.” he sounds breathless,foolish, but he’s feeling a little foolish here. “uh, i, fixed your jacket.”

The resistance has done more for Finn than he’d expected, or would be able to pay back. Not that he thinks they want him to pay them back. From what he’s heard and the people he’s talked to, that’s been made clear. That’s unusual in and of itself, because really, people have been expecting things of him all his life. 

If he had to repay it, if it was something expected of him, it was certainly more than he ever could. 

He’s certainly not expecting to see Poe so soon, and definitely not with the jacket in his hands. He’d thought the thing would have been destroyed. He’d nearly been, so certainly the jacket shouldn’t have withstood so much. 

      “Your jacket,” he corrects, eyes going from the clothing in question to the other man’s face. “I didn’t even think it could be fixed.”
