As the daughter of the Goddess Clíodhna(Klee-na), Queen of the Banshees and a mortal man, Morwenna lived amongst her father’s tribe in Ancient Ireland for many years. When she came of age, she went to live with her mother where she quickly learned the ways of the banshee and became just as powerful as her mother. Morwenna has foretold thousands of deaths over the past several centuries although now in modern times her life has changed slightly. She still foretells the death of people as a banshee but she also works as a mortician where she prepares those that she predicted would die for burial.

"Morwenna, I understand. I get it, I do. I'm not askin' fer anythin' from ya, an' ya don't hafta say it back. Not yet, not now. Only if'n an' when yer ready... an' if'n yer never ready, then that's how it is." He gave a shrug.

He gently squeezed her hands. "All I care 'bout is that yer with me," he smiled at her. "Like I said, I don't expect nothin' from ya. Nothin' at all. Just... enjoy bein' with me, is all," he chuckled softly. "Everythin' else will fall inta place when it's meant ta."

Morwenna knew he didn’t expect anything from her, she had understood him. That hadn’t stopped her from freezing and her mind from spiraling. Hearing him reiterate his words to her again along with his touch, helped reassure her. Her thoughts relaxing and the breath returning to her lungs. Nodding her head , she gave his hands a squeeze in return.

“I’m sorry Tolaas. I just panicked. I definitely wasn’t expecting that. Thank you for understanding.” She said with a soft sigh and took a moment to collect her thoughts. “Just because I can’t say it back doesn’t mean I don’t feel something for you Tolaas because I do. Love is just such a strange feeling to me.”

“Very unwise indeed.” Morwenna chuckled and reached for her glass, lifting it to her lips. She winked at him over the rim before taking a sip.

Setting down her glass, Morwenna hummed in thought. “I wouldn’t mind something more on the lowkey side.”

Tolaas nodded. "Romcom it is, then," he said. He finished off his plate and waited for Morwenna to finish hers. He stood, gathered up the dishes and took them to the sink.

He spent the next half hour cleaning up - putting leftobvers away, washing dishes, cleaning out the sink.

After drying his hands he turned and leaned back against the counter. He looked at Morwenna and grinned. He wondered if she realized exactly how beautiful she really was? He could stare at her for hours. Of course, he was that way with any of his loves. If Tolaas loved you, he loved you with his whole heart, he figured it was finally time to actually say it.

He took Morwenna's hand and ,led her to the living room, where he sat down on the couch and pulled her gently down next to him. He held her hands in his, brought them to his lips, and kisssed the knuckles. "I love ya, Morwenna," he said, looking at her. "Ya don't hafta say it back if'n ya don't, er yer not ready, er anythin'. I don't expect nothin' in return, but i figured it was high time I actually came out an' said it."

He leaned forward and kisssed her lipss softly, running a hand along her cheek before pulling back. "Figured ya'd like ta hear it, actually." A soft smile appeared on his lips.

Morwenna had offered to clean up seeing as he had been the one to cook dinner but of course he had refused. Instead she sat at the table and watched him, enjoying the domestic side of him again.

Her hand took his and she followed him over to the couch, kicking off her shoes before sitting down. She had gone to snuggle next to him when he kissed her hands and she figured he wanted to talk for a bit before they watched a movie. Although what he said hadn’t been what she was expecting at all.

The moment the ‘L’ word came out of his mouth, Morwenna froze both body and mind. Her eyes were wide and although she didn’t pull away she didn’t respond either.

Love was a strange concept to Morwenna. She was quite familiar with love of families having grown up with her father and his kin. But her mother had been punished for loving her father. She had seen all kinds of love during her time as a banshee watching the loved ones of the deceased mourn. But romantic love was foreign to her.

It wasn’t that she felt nothing towards Tolaas because she definitely did. It was the fact that these feelings were new and she was uncertain how to react or act upon them.

Centuries ago when the world wasn’t as crowded, Banshees were more believed in and revered for their duty in mourning the dead. Going even farther back to her mortal days living in the small fishing village with her father, she had led a more busy lifestyle than she did now. It hadn’t been until her and Tolaas had gotten together that things started to become more interesting for her. He made things interesting.

Morwenna was definitely a homebody which she was glad they got along so well just doing all of the things he had mentioned. Before it had just been by herself but she realized now it was so much better with company.

Her cheeks flushed lightly hearing him say he loved her. Although neither of them had said those three words directly to each other, Morwenna knew what she felt for Tolaas had gone beyond simple attraction.

“Its nice Tolaas. Almost feels like home. Been awhile since I’ve had that feeling.” Morwenna said with a soft smile and moved further into the kitchen. “Mhmm. I can do that.” She hummed and kissed his cheek quickly before pulling plates from the cupboard.
