As the cold air hit you face on this cold night, you knew you were not alone. A single huff of hope and a glance at the sky to ask if any god would help you was interrupted by a familiar chuckle
“Looking for me up there? Yeah right, id think you’d better be looking down!”
She says trying to spark up a joke but seeing the pure seriousness on your face made her scoff under her breath and kick a rock away from her foot.
“Geez you were always so uptight.”
“Im so uptight? Maybe you need to tighten up and stop following me, it’s creepy!”
“Hey! This was my spot! I called dibs way before you!”
You hated how she was right, you grumbled something under your breath but you stayed anyway, not knowing why..A sight slips from your lips and you pull your knees up to your chin as the cold night air blew in your hair.
Jinx just stares at your back, she would look in disbelief, not knowing what to say or why she was so angry at you being upset. She just lets her head hang lower before she spoke
“Im..sorry okay? Im sorry that i changed, and..”
You say as you stand up and walk past her, bumping shoulders, Jinx being jinx was obviously even more angry
“Fine! Run from your problems! Like you always do, see if i care!”
She says as a little emotion slips into her words, voice cracks and shakes before she grunts as she kicks a can in frustration.
You should have stopped, but you kept walking. Jinx had expected you to get one last zinger in before disappearing, but..no.
All she could do was watch as you walked away..
