Hi! I forgot to post about it but my new album is out! It's called "River's Edge" and it's the work i'm the most proud of so far. The title is inspired by an 1989 movie that I love, about a bunch of teenagers that find a dead body next to a river. The record deals a lot with the sense of dissociation but also of inescapable reality that comes with death. While this may sound bleak, the record has an ethereal and detached tone that communicates a surrender to what can't be changed, acceptance of death, physical and emotional pain, one's own past, flaws and mistakes, acceptance of the constant cycle of seasons (which is really hard for me to deal with). The super digital sounds are mixed with analog distortion that goes back to that duality of hyperreality and dissociation.

May and June are always really hard for me. There's mother's day, my mother's birthday and her death anniversary. Every year I grieve in silence cause there's nothing to say. I miss her every day.

I forgot to mention that getting so much into sneaker pimps was a big part of my little gender awakening (and in the 3-5 days I got a lil crazy I only listened to the first 5 tracks of splinter in loop and everytime I was not listening to it I was tweaking at the thought of listening to it)

And it's not only because of Chris corners androgyny, I actually did not want to know what he looked like for months and I was hoping he was exactly the way he is so when I looked him up it was a nice addition,but the music itself speaks to me on a deeper level that makes me feel connected to who I really am, I really don't know how to explain it

It was such a stupid idea to write all my songs to be sung in a higher register when I've ALWAYS known that I sing so much better and I enjoy it more in a mid to low register...I dont think they would sound good in a different register or in a lower pitch and that's why I get bored of performing my songs so easily and why I usually have more fun and perform covers waaay better (I chose them cause I liked to sing them). I'm kind of mad at myself for this tbh.
