Lesley Leach (faerietaleclara) returned to the hospital ICU for the 3rd and final time on July 15, 2015. She passed away Monday, August 3 surrounded by family. Medical personnel tried to determine what was causing the now familiar pattern of an infection followed by a precipitous drop in blood pressure requiring treatment with massive amounts of fluids and blood pressure meds. Each ICU visit this response pattern took a greater toll in her already fragile body. Two of the ICU doctors used the word "mystery" to describe Lesley's condition. We never got to a definitive diagnosis so her death certificate lists the cause of death as sepsis. Her obituary will be in the Anchorage Daily News - check the online obituary section periodically. It is proving difficult to write. A one-year memorial service will be held in Anchorage, AK. Her mother Diane wants her on-line community of friends to know how much you meant to Lesley. Lesley was home bound for so long; you were literally a life line to the outside world offering her friendship, love, laughter, solace, and comfort. Thank you. Be kind to others in her name.
