Word of advice for those attending "The Burnt City": if you have ticketing issues such as an extra seat, do your best to handle it without contacting the box office. The actual Punchdrunk employees are only able to sell, everything else must go through SEE Tickets, which appears to be a corporate robot who doesn't read emails.
I had a pair of tickets on the 1st and requested one be moved to the 29th. Not possible in the system; make a new booking (at a 40£ higher cost) then SEE will refund the additional ticket. Despite being told three times to only refund ONE, they refunded both. Sigh. So now I have to what, rebook for the 1st, again at the 40£ higher rate?
So, if you have an extra ticket, just figure out how to sell it yourself, and be kind to the frustrated folks working in the box office. They are truly lacking the ability to do much of their job.
(Disclaimer: I used to manage an Off-Broadway box office, so I know how unusual and irritating this situation is for the people working in house.)
