LIFE: How Invested Are YOU?
+ The EARLY Years
While growing up as an artsy, flower child, I loved anything colorful, textured, and beautiful. My interests included crocheting, dancing, drawing, painting, and singing. I have memories of making tiny books or crocheted purses that drove my Mom nuts, because I left them all over the house.
Academically, math was my nemesis, particularly problem solving. Math homework at the kitchen table with Mom was torture for both of us! I just wanted to have fun with my crafts. Fast forward to adulthood, I realize math is a necessary evil. You can’t make a good giving without embracing math through money. After all, “Money makes the world go around (Paul Van Der Merwe, Author).”
+ The LATER Years
As an evangelist, I examined something that people often say, “Money is the root of all evil!” Is that what the Good Book says? Of course, I checked for myself, because we need money for survival, right? The BIBLE says, “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs (1 Timothy 6:10).” Okay, so it’s the love of money that is the root of evil.
+The RECENT Years
Within the last few years, transitions in my life gave me new perspectives about math and money. I needed understanding about how to make money work better for my family and me. Where could I go for this reeducation? Where could I go to revise my exchange of time for money? The great search began in early 2017 and a solution revealed itself in December 2017. I remembered a company from the early 1990’s.
Its key message of financial freedom still resonated in my mind, so I ‘Googled’ it. I found a local office and got involved quickly. Within two weeks, I received my license to teach families about how money really works and income protection. Who knew this “Flower Child” would be a subject matter expert? Not me!
The second facet for my renewed life was in June 2018. I took the big leap into real estate! It satisfies my need to help people invest in their future. This move was a complete career shift, because I invested over 20 years in mastering marketing skills. With brainpower and willpower, I became a NJ Realtor, to help my clients sell or invest in real estate.
Reinvented life is good! Curiosity, perseverance, and the desire to have a positive impact on the community makes us. The morale of my story is that you never know where life will lead you. You must first invest in yourself to then invest in others. My mission and purpose are to help you invest in yourself literally and figuratively. I’m here for YOU!
