[[ Six months I have been gone, but I don’t know how to come back. I miss my characters and people I’ve threaded with, but it’s sort of late, isn’t it? I’d probably wind up leaving again anyway. :( But update, I graduated college and do freelance jobs, so that’s more time. Anyway… I just wanted to say hi. If I ever come back, I’ll do so on a multi-muse blog and it probably won’t be soon… Bye bye for now! ]]
[[ Obviously I haven’t been here for… What, a month? And I apologize. Since I graduate uni in just a little under two months, things have gotten a little more hectic, even though I thought they weren’t going to be. I go back and forth from work, school, internship, repeat, and the time I get to myself I’m usually sleeping or spending time with my boyfriend. I’m not deactivating my account or anything, no way. Hiatus or no, I still enjoy coming on here to write and read and interact. I just wanted to give a heads-up that this is going to be a regular thing for a while — disappearing for a long time, coming on for a short bit. At least for the next few months, anyway, since after graduating I’ll have to be looking for a job. Most of the people I had threads with either deactivated, went on hiatus, or just didn’t reply, so there’s not too many people to apologize to, but to the ones that I was already plotting with in my inbox and the ones where the threads are still active, I’m sorry. I’ll be able to get to plot ideas and replies in the next few days here. If you want to plot anything, then drop by in my ask box. If you want anything like my personal Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, Skype, or AIM, then just ask me and I’ll give it to you. Hell, if you want my number to text, I don’t care. It’s all fine by me. ]]

She sighed. Well, that figured in a way. Young people, so utterly predictable and equally infuriating. Or the children of the more mannish races, anyway. Her own children would not have done this, she’s certain of that. With a sigh, she picked up her bow from the ground by her easel, and quickly sent a warning shot at the boy, a glass arrow sticking into the ground by his feet. “No.”
As soon as the glass arrow shot into the ground, he'd unsheathed and nocked his own. Within a second's breath, a matching glass arrow cracked through the mer's canvas, sending it flying. The boy's smile simply doubled in size. "No."
[She shrugged.] He’s… like a grandfather. He’s Altmer, not Dunmer, but he treats me like family. And a spider? Like a… frostbite spider? Which of your weird family members thought that was a good pet? That sounds sort of terrifying. [Or maybe that was just her arachnophobia, hard to say.]
"The Dunmer." [He gave a brief nonchalant shrug, as if he'd stated what his favorite color was or that the sky was blue.] "She good pet. Playful, eat intruder once. Friendly to family though."
[ Didn’t really ring a bell. Still, the other’s bearing wasn’t unfamiliar to him. There’s some strange familiarity there, but Freyr can’t really pinpoint it. ]
“Elsweyr. Haven’t been there in a while, though— Long moved somewhere else.”
[He felt a bit silly for asking in the first place. Where else would a Khajiit have come from?] "Cat-folk come to Skyrim lot more now. Altogether. No idea why. Is not like they allowed into cities." [There was something slightly off about the other. Though it might have been because he'd rarely run into the Khajiit on his travels.]
If you say so. I’m good with angry old men as well. In general. [She laughed a little, a proper laugh.] A vampire as well? My gramps is a vampire! He’s, uh, not my real grandfather but… [She shrugged.] Gods, you have quite the family there. Sounds sorta scary, though, if I’m honest. A vampire, a werebeast, and an angry old guy.”
[He raised an eyebrow at that, tilting his head a bit childishly.] "Not grandfather, but is... ?" [A small laugh erupted.] "Angry old guy worse than vampire and werewolf combined. Also spider pet. Small, but snappy."
I told him you can't stop the Dark Brotherhood. Never could. ♔ Credit.
”Figures.”
[ Not that that was a bad thing, he preferred staying out of the public eye anyway. ]
“—What’s your name?”
[Was it worth telling the other his name? Not as if he'd figure where he came from, but still, he hesitated.] "Moarte." [No surname. He narrowed his eyes briefly in suspicion.] "And you? Where you from?"
Maybe you need a different family. ‘Specially if you’ve got a mean werewolf in your family… [She frowned for a split second, then laughed a little, a lighthearted sort of laugh.] Grumpy old men are much better family members, I think. I’d take that one from you if I could.
[An awkward, shy chuckle rumbled in his throat at the thought of the older man with a family.] "Ah... Think you don't want this grumpy man. Very..." [His lips puckered out, making a weird noise as he prevented himself from saying 'violent'.] "Just bad temper. Very angry. Little vampire in family too."
“Perhaps you should have thought of that before you stepped on the grass there. Look! Now it’s flattened! Different! I will have to repaint because of you, idiot boy.”
He didn't respond. Usually others who were as obnoxiously rude as the womer would grate his nerves; set his temper ablaze. Moarte found it rather funny now, like Festus complaining about everything back at the Sanctuary. With a smile of mocking innocence tugging at his lips, he stepped on a few of the flowers nearby, mushing them into the ground.
Reluctance was clear as she stared at the man. She bit her lip as she stared at him, and she nodded. She crossed her arms as she looked up at him and gave him another brief nod. “I see. I’m still sorry for spooking you, though.”
Genuinely the boy started to feel bad for snapping. If it were someone his age or older, he'd continue to instigate. Children... They were different. Though that may very well be the Breton projecting his own issues onto others. "It alright," he shrugged, trying to act cool and brush it off, though his voice was still rough around the edge. "Not your fault." Looking anywhere but at the girl before him, he noticed the person she was chasing hadn't stuck around. "Should look for... Friend?"

”You look… familiar.”
"Do I?" [The question wasn't genuine. His expression remained flat and unreadable.] "Never seen you."
Maybe I’ll try performing in Whiterun more, then. Get noticed by the Jarl, make a lot of money… Oh, I can dream. [She laughed.] All sortsa’ people. Nice ones, rude ones… a few that think, ‘Hey, pulling on a mer’s earrings is so acceptable! … But also some really interesting folk. From all over.
[He hummed in thought as the corners of his lips unintentionally curled upward despite trying to keep a serious expression.] "Sometimes wish I could see... Better people. My 'family'... One is werewolf. Big, mean Nord. One is old man. Grumpy mage." [Arnbjorn and Festus; not the nicest in his bunch.]

“Tsss! What are you doing here? You had best give me a good explanation… and quickly, or I will make you paint. Make you into paint, that is.”
"Funny," he mused, slowly raising a brow. Threats were never taken seriously with Moarte. Not with his occupation, anyway. "Have things to do. You just in my way."
30 Days of Character Development - Day 2
How do they usually dress? If he's trying to blend in or just lounging about, then he wears commoner clothes in shades of black, gray, and dark browns. While travelling and on a hunt, he dons darkened leather and fur armors with a cloak and cowl. He doesn't like to wear the actual Dark Brotherhood armor as he thinks it draws too much attention despite the fact that dressing head-to-toe in black is probably just as bad. What do they wear to sleep? While sleeping in the sanctuary or at an inn, he switches back and forth between preferring with a tunic or without, but he always wears pants, at least. If he's sleeping in the wilderness, then he keeps all his armor on and wraps himself up in his cloak like a cocoon. Do they wear jewelry? Before being taken away from his parents' slaughter, he stole a gold diamond necklace from his mother's jewelry box and kept it hidden beneath his shirt. Once reaching the Dark Brotherhood and undergoing training, Moarte had it enchanted with Fortify Archery. He is constantly going back-and-forth with himself on if he should continue keeping the thing or destroy it once and for all because of the ties to his past. Is there anything about their appearance they wish they could change? Moarte is the type of person that couldn't care less about his physical appearance. If he had to stop and think for a moment, then he might wish he was a tad bit taller, but it's not very important and he doesn't lose sleep over it. How would they look as the opposite sex? A little shorter, very faint curves, small bust, longer hair, face would be less of a square shape and fuller - nothing drastically different, I believe. If Moarte were female, most likely he'd care a bit more about his appearance. What do they smell like? Why (do they wear the scent or does it occur naturally)? For the most part, he literally smells of death -- a mixture of just turned earth, stale and fresh blood, muggy musk and smoke, and a faint hint of sweat. It's a very odd combination that he doesn't notice most of the time. After he's had a bath, though, he has a general damp, clean smell mixed with whatever odd herbal or floral mixture he decided to use. Do they have an accurate mental picture of their appearance (how they see themselves versus how the world sees them)? I believe so. As I've stated previously, Moarte really does not care how he presents himself or how he looks, for the most part. He sees himself for what he really is -- just another young adult wandering in the world, falling into a whatever lifestyle he deems fit. Others outside of the Dark Brotherhood see him as either odd looking, trouble, slightly adorable, or just a normal boy.
What are your characters most prominent physical features?
Moarte’s features that stick out the most would probably either have to be his physique or his eyes. (In reference to body build, though, I’m mostly comparing it to in-game instead of comparing him to other OCs.) Physique - He’s rather slim and slender for his age and hardly holds any muscle or body fat on his frame. Most of the people he’s come across, even the wispy looking Altmer and Bosmer, have some more meat on their bones. It’s possible that Moarte’s just a runt or his very poor diet has had an effect on his body, or both. The only small bit of muscle he has on his body is situated on his arms and legs from either years of archery practice or constantly traveling across Skyrim. Eyes - Even though he has blue eyes, which are incredibly common in Skyrim, there’s still something about them that’s very eye-catching, no pun intended. He practically wears his emotions on his sleeves, so even if he’s trying to cover up how he feels, you can almost always tell by looking at his eyes. They’re also always watery and glassy and have a childish gleam to them that can be a bit eerie when he’s out on an assassin job, if his victim stops to pay attention.

[He raised his brow, glancing up at the other confusedly. He hadn't poisoned his arrows in quite some time.] "Is not me. Is someone else. What type arrow?"
