Positive Life Changes
It’s been roughly 3+ years now since the last time I updated my site. Life has been quite eventful for the better of course.
Let’s see, my girlfriend of 2.5 years now have been quite the big positive change. We’ve progressed in our relationship so much that I feel like dropping on one knee and proposing to her. I’ve only really felt this way once before, many years ago in fact. Reason I haven’t yet done it is because we’re trying not to rush our life together. We want to build a strong relationship on an equal foot sort of speak. She’s slowly working through her career goals as I am, and I’m proud of her for continuing to excel. Not trying to rely on me; even though, I have no doubt I’ll do what I can to support her.
Speaking of career goals, last September I was promoted to IT Manager. I went from IT Coordinator to IT Assistant Manager with a excellent team to an IT Manager of my own property. A big accomplishment and much more responsibilities, but I believe I handled it like a champ. One tired and stressed out champ, but nonetheless, a champ! lol. I believe what helped to land me this promotion was my combination of a experience and level of education.
As for school, I happy to say I finally graduated April 2018 with a Bachelors of Science in Networking and Communications Degree! I skipped my graduation ceremony in favor or traveling to Thailand and Taiwan. My first out of country vacation was scheduled around the same time of my graduation ceremony so I chose the former. I know, bad scheduling on my part, and most likely my fault for not telling my girlfriend when I was expecting to graduate in order for her plan it around the grad date. Oh well, I have absolutely no regrets. I enjoyed the trip 100%, worth it.
Fast forward to present 2020. This COVID-19 pandemic... what can I say other than, this SUCKS! I’ve been out of work for the last 2.5 months and going on 3 if the lockdown continues. Sadly, I was looking forward to visiting another amazing country, but it seems that’s of obviously not happening. We had to cancel our vacation to Japan and reschedule for next year.
