Maxwell sat in his favorite coffee shop, reading the book he’d bought with him, and occasionally sipping the glass of water that he’d ordered. He liked this; being with people, but not being with people. He didn’t feel so alone this way. He didn’t notice the brunette until she spoke, and Max quickly looked up at her. ‘Ah. Yeah, sure.’ He said, smiling slightly, and putting down his book. Usually he would have denied the request, but the look in the woman’s eyes told him that he shouldn’t send her away. ‘Are you okay?’ He asked. 

Coraline gave him a smile before sitting down and setting her coffee down on the table. ‘ thank you. ’ she whispered before taking a sip of her coffee, holding the cup tightly. ‘ uh yeah -- its really no big deal, just still dealing with things from back home. ’ she smiled and leaned back in her seat before taking another sip of her coffee.

Mostly every guy he came towards to are assholes, it was 50/50 that he would become great friends with those guys or end up in bar cells with them. "You know what fine, I’ll listen to your sad story if you lighten up a bit and drink this can of beer”

“no -- I didn’t just realize it, I grew up with brothers so I know all guys are dicks.” she mumbled and looked at the can of beer “how do I know you’ll listen to me? what if I drink that can of beer and you ignore me, once again. I’m not stupid you know.” she said taking another sip of her coffee “I don’t even remember what I was on about.”

voicemail, of course she’d get sent to voicemail, she knew they weren’t going to answer no matter how hard she tried. “hey um – its Coraline, again. look, I know you hate me but I CAN’T do this without you. I’ve tried everything to get you to forgive me, what more is it going to take? do I need to buy you a new car? just call me back and tell me what I can do. I love you okay? more than anything – please, please just forgive me. I need you.” she hung up and sat her phone down, anxiously waiting for a reply. 

Realizing she wasn’t going to get a reply she walked into the coffee shop and ordered a large black coffee with THREE espresso shots knowing she was going to be up all night. After she grabbed her coffee she walked over to a random table that someone was at “hey uh -- do you mind if i sit?” she asked kindly, not wanting to be alone right now.

He wasn’t even listening to the other, he was just looking at them pretending that he was listening. He couldn’t care less of what they were talking about. He stood up straight and adjusted himself on the seat.“ You do realized, I’m not paying any bit of attention and that I ..Don’t care” He said as she flashed a small smile that only lasted a few seconds then went back to drinking his beer can.

Coraline was going on and on about how she hated the ending of tru calling and how mad she was that they cancelled it before she was interrupted by the male. The raven haired female huffed and rolled her eyes “of course. what guy does?” she mumbled and took a sip of her coffee, leaning back in her seat and not saying a word.
