You’re allowed to be hurt by things as a trans man or transmasculine person. It’s okay for things to hurt your feelings. You don’t have to be okay with people telling you that they hate who you are / ‘what you represent’ all the time. Trauma inflicted upon us by patriarchy is very real and valid but every response to it is not.

Ignoring and downplaying your feelings, experiences, your pain or encouraging other transmasculine people to do so — is not The Way to be a good man or a good feminist.

I promise you it’s a lie that Being a Real Good Man™️ means accepting you can Never be hurt Like a Woman Can. That’s just deeply toxic masculinity at best. You aren’t a fortress. You aren’t indomitable. The only people who have a vested interest in convincing you that expressions of your pain are violent are people who benefit from you having no ability to accurately describe your experiences or people who WANT YOU to internalize that your only purpose is to be a body in front of other bodies that deserve to live more than you do for whatever reason. You deserve to live. You deserve to be protected. You are a living person not an existential bodyguard.

Your pain is not a threat. Your insistence on having a voice is not violence. Period.

Not only should it be law that anything AI generated on the internet should be labelled as such but every website, app, and digital service should have a button I can click that removes any AI from my interactions with that site/service.
