Citi Open becomes first tennis tournament to join Fancred
FANCRED LAUNCHES OFFICIAL SOCIAL NETWORK PROFILE FOR THE CITI OPEN® TENNIS TOURNAMENT
World’s fastest growing fan network offers new ways to engage and interact with tournament fans
BOSTON (June 15, 2015) — Fancred, the world’s fastest-growing fan network, is excited to announce the launch of its first official tennis tournament profile on its social media network for the Citi Open® Tennis Tournament.
Fancred worked with the tournament operator, Lagardére Unlimited, to create a brand new profile for the Citi Open Tournament on its social media network leading up to the event scheduled August 1-9, 2015, at the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center in Washington, D.C. The Fancred social network will help the organization reach and get to know tennis fans who are creating personal profiles that digitally archive their sports lives. Fans will also benefit from exclusive content, tournament news and player updates that will be shared on the official Citi Open profile.
“Fancred is a diverse community of avid sports fans who are likely to engage with tennis content; we are excited for them to have direct access to the Citi Open Tournament,” said Fancred’s CEO, Hossein Kash Razzaghi. “We believe Fancred is the perfect place for events like the Citi Open Tournament to engage local sports fans and get to know them personally through fan profiles and daily interaction.”
For the 500 million sports fans on mobile daily, Fancred is the only app where users can build personalized fan profiles around their sports identities. A fan’s profile includes allegiances to their favorite players, events, teams, moments, experiences, and opinions that define who they are as fans. For Fancred partners, these fan insights can help activate direct relationships to reward the most passionate fans.
“We are thrilled to be the first tennis tournament on Fancred, as we continue to find ways to connect with tennis fans, not only in the D.C. area, but around the country,” said Jeff Newman, tournament director.
To connect with the Citi Open Tournament on Fancred, download the app from iTunes or Google Play, create a fan profile, and follow the official Citi Open profile.
