The Fandesign Fanzine is available in three formats: a 41-page PDF, a 78-page Accessible PDF with image descriptions, and a website to view all the pieces as a gallery!

i'm honored to open the @fandesignfanzine with my ling wan design! i've been thinking about mixing traditional fashion with modern clothing aesthetics for a while, and i think it shows. it's been amazing to see everyone's designs, so i hope yall take a look at the full zine here! (also, check out the other two ling wan designs which are super cool!)

I've enjoyed my time in zine, in all honesty!! From conceptualizing, to gaining inspiration, to each stage of the artwork, it made me dive into the SynthV community a bit deeper than I initially began in. And through all the processes of talking and waiting for production, I got to discover more vocaloid and voice banks that have captured my heart! All in all, it was such a fun experience, and I'd love for everybody else to see mine, and other artists' hardwork in making this zine come true.

I went with the complimentary voice options from SynthV2 as a sort of trio LOL I also tried to make references to the UI like all the detailed vocal mode dials, and the new "mouth opening" feature :)

This is my art piece for @fandesignfanzine ‘s SynthV Fan Design Zine! I drew my own designs of Kevin, (guy on the left) Amara, (girl on stage) and Mai! (girl on the right).

below the cut is a version without the halftone filter, a version with no filters, and a #crisp version with just the lineart because i like how i shaded it, as well as rambling about their lore!! lol
yuma was created back when humans were still around as an idol android. when the plague wiped everyone out, leaving only animals and machines, yuma felt he had no more reason to perform and settled in a small village with other androids. yuma is the caretaker of lin lai and yun quan, but he doesn't watch them too closely and lets them do whatever they want lmfao. his eyes, nails, and streaks of his hair (not visible here) can change color, and he has a liquid blushing system (which also means cuts make him "bleed").
d-lin was produced recently in a haywire autonomous factory attempting to replicate humanity. whereas humans themselves tended to prioritize the outward appearance of their machines, the computer running the factory prioritized d-lin's ability to learn, replicate emotions, and he's got every organ a human would (though he doesn't need them to function. he's got a heartbeat and breathes!), but he sits deeper in the uncanny valley than yuma does. the factory experimented with lots of different old-world blueprints, including dreamtonics androids.
because there's no better place for kids to play than an abandoned factory, yun quan and lin lai were out exploring it one day and saw a creepy figure wandering the halls. they ran back to the village to tell yuma about a ghost, yuma returned to the factory with them, and that's how he met d-lin!
d-lin eventually got yuma to pick up singing again. they do shows here and there, but most of it is just for each other and themselves
they can't love each other. yuma's programmed to enjoy interacting with humans, and d-lin is the closest to human he's been around since the death of humanity. the first person d-lin ever met was yuma, so he imprinted. d-lin insists on calling it love and fantasizes about the lives they might lead together in another life. yuma doesn't think love is an accurate term. they're both happy spending time with each other, though, regardless of what they call it. basically they're buddies 🧡💚
also you should play nier automata and nier replicant 🫵 i overhauled my whole vsynth headworld to be post-humanity because those games rewired my brain. i did use angelic text in the side text and it's nothing really special/interesting but it's maybe a fun side thing 👉👈 be sure to drink your ovaltine...
also d-lin's design is partly a reference to cb2, who is very cute
You're free to use her design, though if you use her PNG and don't draw it yourself I'd prefer if that wasn't monetized (but drawing her yourself? Go for it! You can monetize that!) sorta like Vimalion's rules.

Fandesign Fanzine Accessible version: small update
Hi! I have updated the Accessible version of the zine. Hopefully, it's still just as functional as the original version!
The small corrections that were made are the following:
• "Hayden" was accidentally referred to as "Archie" once in the description for slvrcyn. Now, Hayden is the one looking at Archie, rather than Archie having an out-of-body experience.
• Amara's plunging "neckline" in marshdotcom's piece had been replaced by a non-existent "necklace". The two wrong letters were corrected!
So, if you'd like to have a copy of the Accessible version of the Fandesign Fanzine:
You have to download it again! I unfortunately (thankfully?) cannot edit your local files. I apologise for the inconvenience!
The URL has remained the same! So you don't have to worry about grabbing the wrong one.
