my pen died i drew this with my finger 🫡 i have this au thats pretty phone/social media-heavy, but im not a fic writer so i will just talk about it lol. anyway its like theyre college age, some sort of athletic-yet-artistic profession (like olympic athletes/idols/something like that). kyoya is horrible to everyone he meets yet has a massive fanbase that follows him online. he hates it but it comes in handy later.

kyoben get close regardless of kyoyas antisocial behavior, he's so skilled benkei doesn't really take offense to it/he kinda likes it. their colleagues are baffled by this pair, none of them enjoy talking to kyoya. anyway kyoben is close now.

theres this infamous agency (dark nebula basically) thats known for either breaking their talents (and their careers tank), OR catapulting them into stardom (like ryuga). kyoya gets an invitation and decides to join.

benkei doesn't like this, and kyoya doesn't care that hes worried... kyoyas walking away but OH NO, BENKEI KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT TO SAY TO GET UNDER KYOYAS SKIN, something like: "you're gonna be the best all on your own, thats why you're doing this, right? why do you need some shitty company to help you then?" basically invalidating any hard work he may do there, giving all the credit to the agency (even tho benkei doesn't really think that, he wants to hurt kyoya's pride into staying OOPSIE). he always knows exactly what to say to kyoya.

they have a massive fight, no contact no text no nothing. kyoya leaves to go train w this agency.

kyoyas there and it really is breaking him+traumatizing him. plus now he has to get used to being alone again-- benkei used to always blow up his phone/want to hang out. thats done. he spends any time not training rotting in bed in this fancy place, on his phone, stalking everyone on social media, seething LMAO. its the first time he actually tries to put on an act online. he begins posting like everything is going great. hes getting stronger and he wants everyone to see it. but he puts emo songs on the posts. he silently hopes benkei sees through it, and listens to the lyrics of the songs. he depends on benkei reading his mind like he usually does. he doesnt want to say things are going horribly and he needs help. he tries to use his posts to make benkei reach out to him first KFJDKFHKDHFKF

more random stuff about this au: a big theme is the differences between their approaches to life, things they can learn from eachother.

kyoya is the type to push as hard as he can, crashing as soon as he gets home. so hes a slob basically, he lets things like chores pile up because hes so focused. if something is not directly beneficial to him winning, he doesn't make a habit of doing it. (until he meets benkei).

benkei's not in the spotlight like kyoya. his life is also more balanced, he focuses more on taking care of himself so he can perform well/have the energy to build more skill/etc. he understands the importance of self care. he won't take chances if he thinks it may be too much for him to handle atm, even if it costs him a better spot, even if he fades into the background. (until he meets kyoya).

kyoya is not used to his place feeling like a home (always ready to move) until benkei basically moves in.

kyoya learns to cherish things and relax in them and benkei learns he's worthy enough to actually go for what he wants and how to actually do that.
