All Work And No Play
Peace and quiet. A calm serenity always covered this place to her. Like a haven from all the bills and distress the Inn brought to her from time to time. She could handle it but that didn’t mean she needed a break and some hard piece of relaxation to get her through those days where nothing would go right. Better taking a walk in the forest then breaking a vase. Again.
Kai sighed again, reopening her eyes to the world. That was enough of that. Now she had to head back home and work on her bills again. She couldn’t allow a mistake like that stand around for long. Assuming it was a mistake, that is. Well, all she could do was go back there and hope that that’s all it was.
She rose to her feet quickly, dusting off the dirt that may have stuck to the seat of her pants. No one liked an boss with dirty clothes. She was all ready and well to head back home until she heard the rustling of the forest. Ok, “of the forest” is a pretty bad word to describe what she heard. But at least she knew that she wasn’t alone here. Yes, she was aware that there were possibly a witch or something living here but she wasn’t afraid. She could put up a fight. Not.
“Anyone there?”
So far it was just an ordinary forest. Nothing exciting had caught the males eyes. Tree as far as the eyes could see. Vine and brush covering most of the forest floor. Rocks giving out way points to destinations unknown to him. Sure every forest was different, hopefully something could give this one some flare. Hell even just meeting someone here would make that experience all the better.
It seemed as if the animals of the forest have scattered, only able to hear his own footsteps and progression though the Shamrock Forest. Leaves crushing underneath the boys sneakers with each step. Maybe it was him who was scaring off the wildlife. You could probably hear him from a mile away. "What the hell is with all these leaves?!" A ninja he was not, at least not in this forest.... take that back, ever.
He didn't practice the arts of being a ninja, quietly stalking the target just before assassination. Taking his matter to the tree tops and jumping limb from limb swiftly in determination of the path ahead. Not much of his style. A run and gun kind of guy. There was no reason for him to use ninja tactic before, so why start now. This place had seemed nice enough to not have to be sneaky. He could get what he needed easily with no avail. Something had changed in the scenery. A blob of gray interrupted the green foliage in front of him. A rock? No, it was definitely hovering. Weird. Closer and closer he progressed until he could make out a figure, then a voice halted him.
"..."
"Oui?"
