backstory !
anna-marie was raised on a commune with her hippie parents who ended up disappearing when she was a baby after they got involved with some magic that wasnât to be messed with. she was then raised by her aunt who was a bit too strict since she was afraid of anna-marie falling in her parents footsteps.Â
she earned the nickname rogue as a teenager because she rebelled against her aunts strict nature and ran away a lot.Â
her mutation manifested when she kissed a neighborhood boy named cody. she ended up absorbing part of his psyche and leaving him in a coma for three days. this experience was what got her to run away for the last time, never returning to her aunt after that too afraid to own up to her actions even if it was something she couldnât control.
she was lured into the brotherhood by mystique who liked her rebellious and very angsty attitude that sometimes turned to rage against the world. she was easily turned into anti-human brotherhood member, becoming a very powerful player against the x-men who they fought a lot.Â
she ended up absorbing carol danver aka ms. marvels abilities and a lot of her psyche during a fight against the avengers. rogue enjoyed the new abilities but soon after, all of carols memories started to cause her to suffer and she was left with no choice but to seek help with someone sheâd considered an enemy. professor x.Â
charles was weary to help her at first but his habit to give people second chances came in handy as he allowed her to stay at the academy as he attended to her mind. he invited her to join the ranks of the x-men, giving her the chance to see the wrong in her ways at the brotherhood and she decided to take a chance.Â
rogue spent the rest of her time at the institute showing the rest of the x-men that she had denounced her brotherhood ways and after they saw her effort, they slowly accepted her into their team which she is still a iconic member of.Â
later on in her life, with the help of professor x, she is now able to control her abilities. without knowing it, she had mental blocks in her mind that formed as a kid that messed with her limitations and after the professor broke then down, she was able to kiss or fuck up anyone she wants at will without the worry of losing them or killing someone. this is when she and remy decided to get pregnant, not knowing if this would last.Â
she is now a linguistics professor at the institute !
