you  know  what  would’ve  been  cool  to  explore  ?  if  minako’s  initial  persona  was  like  eurydice  in  contrast  to  minato’s  orpheus  based  on  that  one  mythology  of  some  sort.  like  the  overall  theme  of  this  series  was  understanding  and  confronting  death  ,  therefore  it  would  be  super  neat  if  eurydice  and  orpheus  was  able  to  do  that  —-  since  their  initial  story  was  that  eurydice  dies  and  orpheus  was  unable  to  bring  her  back  to  life  ,   and  just  think  about  that.  he’d  be  the  fool  that  doubted  and  she  would’ve  been  the  fool  that  waited  …  and  im  just  a  sucker  for  symbolism  okay.

lemme  add  on  this ,  in  terms  of  the  “fool  who  waited”.  minako  was  someone  who  lost  everything  at  a  young  age  and  it  wasn’t  until  she  returns  to  tatsumi  that  she  was  able  to  find  herself  again.  this  makes  the  whole  “fool  who  waited”  tagline  even  more  meaningful  in  the  sense  where  she  literally  puts  her  entire  life  on  hold.  she  carried  no  ambition,  she  literally  lived  this  static  unmoving  existence  that  pretty  much  waited  for  death,  very  similar  to  her  male  counterpart.  however,  just  like  the  rest  of  SEES  she  continues  to  grow  beyond  the  “fool  who  waited”  and  became  someone  who  finally  took  charge.  her  entire  battle  theme  song  is  basically  about  her  :  not  being  a  princess  ,  someone’s  girlfriend  —-  or  essentially,  that  damsel  in  distress  waiting  to  be  save.  her  song  is  about  her  fighting  back  and  making  her  stand,  which  would  have  complimented  eurydice  being  her  initial  persona  quite  marvelously.  eurydice  died,  and  waited  for  orpheus  to  save  her  —-  but  orpheus  doubted  her  and  because  of  that,  eurydice  is  left  inside  the  underworld  /  tartarus  /  or  whatever.  eurydice  was  not  in  control  of  her  fate,  whereas  minako  was  able  to  take  her  life  back  and  forge  it  to  her  will.

FIRST  BREATHE  OF  LIFE  ——

she  is  overwhelmed  by  bursting  emotions  ;  unspoken  tears  streaming  down  fair  countenance  as  actual  realization  suddenly  sinks  in.  his  words  pulling  her  back  from  the  stryx  of  forgotten  dreams  and  in  to  this  reality  filled  with  never  ending  wonders.  humanity  has  long  since  brought  her  back  from  her  fated  sacrifice  ,  and  it  was  only  at  this  very  moment  did  it  finally  sunk  in.

she  had  all  of  them  to  thank  truth  be  told  ;  for  it  was  because  of  their  resolve  that  humanity  was  freed  from  the  hubris  of  immortalis  greed  ,  and  she  along  with  it.  there  was  no  denying  the  miracle  of  the  unknown  messiah’s  return  ,  but  she  was  certain  it  was  meant  to  be.  ❝  it’s  a  wonderful  time  to  be  alive  ,  don’t  you  think  ?  ❞
