how did you learn to draw? i want to start my own drawings but everytime i finish something i think it looks terrible :( + i love you art, you are one of my favorites asoiaf artists, thank you for sharing it with us they're amazing <3

Hi there!! Thank you so much for your words of kindness. I'd say I'm self-taught but that's not quite true because I spent years studying illustrations in books, tutorials, and whatever else I could get my hands on. I have definitely learned from people, even if I didn't go to school for art. There are so many incredible tutorials online! you can't go wrong starting with that! Maybe you could give me more details about what it is you find so terrible about your drawings? Depending on what is irking you (perspective, motion, coloring, etc.) you might want to work on that in isolation

do you have a favourite medieval period and/or area in terms of aesthetics?

hmm, I tend to favor the fashion choices from 1300’s onwards — western europe, particularly england, france, germany …

oh awesome!! i just love the medieval aesthetic (if you can’t tell lol). been drawing more heraldry lately and learning about the rules behind coats of arms and such … extremely interesting stuff.

Aw, I’m sorry!! I’m currently in a state of low motivation too, lol. I think It’s quite normal to experience this periodically in the arts — esp. if you want your work to come from a place of passion & don’t have the wherewithal to muster it atp 🥲
