Tom was adept at using words to his favour, to gain all he sought, had read countless tome of pages bleeding ink and wrapping theories around his mind, and even with such experience, such wielding of syllables ( like weapons meant to BREAK ) he could not find the correct ones to soothe the boy before him.

And so he leaned forwards, lips brushing at the skin of his neck in an attempt to GROUND.

Fingers raising, softly, tentatively to cup his jaw ( hold as universes in burning palms of silver and carbon ) and the other sliding along his side. It was an attempt at distraction, to diverge the thoughts which slipped from Orion’s lips and Tom would shatter them, whole and without mercy.

Slowly, his lips trail up the other’s skin as butterfly wings simmering within the sunlight and his hand lowers, fingers CURLING themselves around Orion’s neck in response, holding, clasping, squeezing as his lips are captured he –

 – NIPS at the flesh, tongue and teeth and desperation as the question rings across the room.

    ( everything. you are everything and they are dust. specs of grain in the wind beneath your fingertips and you could decimate them with your glory )

 ❝Yes.❞

Voice a whispers, before his fingers slide within Orion’s hair and pull back.

Eyes bright and burning, molten sky igniting crimson dreams, his fingernails DIG into his hip ( owning coiling wanting – you are mine )

❝Would you like me to show you,❞ Tom hisses, ❝show you how much MORE you are?❞

          He felt grounded, centered, with Tom’s affections trickling along his neck. Oh, he felt powerful, because Tom was powerful, and what did that make of Orion? A sheep in the flock? No, a beta to an alpha wolf.

          ❝ Show me-----Tom, please, please show me. ❞ He felt desperate, willing to choke on any divinity Tom was willing to give to him. 

          That is what it was. Divinity. Anything coming from his lips and his hands and his magic was divine, and Orion was a sinner before a saint. Worshiper before an altar. He should have realized it a long time ago, and yet the truth only settled in his bones now.

          He shifted onto his knees, willing, desperate, YOURS YOURS YOURS, oh, he wanted to be claimed! Hands slipped around the other boy’s frame and he grew bold for a moment, bold in his pursuit of the divine being that was Tom Riddle. 

          Wars and lovers weren’t won by idly sitting by and pining over the idea of a future together. 

          No, wars and lovers were won by the bold. By the cunning. By hands gripping weapons, gripping waists, gripping after goals and dreams. So that is what Orion did.

          And thus, he moved-----pushed the other back against the cushions, settled in between his legs before leaning over. ❝ Please, Tom, tell me what to do to make you show me. ❞ Lips brushed the other’s as he whispered, longing and submission in the shake timbre with which the words oozed past his lips.

                        He was still angry. He was still so, so angry.

       It throbbed in his veins to the beat of his pulse, filled his mouth with words with needlepoint ends and sharp beginnings. He was bleeding on the inside with the force of keeping the words from spilling, from cutting into Tom and damaging beyond repair. 

       It was this anger that Orion knew would be his undoing, one of these days. This goddamned, boundless anger that knew not of borders nor of sensibility. There is no need to be so angry, little boy! There is no need to gather your anger inside your lungs like a horde of angry wasps, ready to sting and poison. There is no need to let your fists tremble with the strength it takes to keep it all down, keep it all in. 

       He wanted to punch something. Tom. A door. A wall. Make himself bleed and snap out of it, but no, he remained right there, on the edge of the bed, trembling and messed up and trembling even more as the rage came spilling past his cheeks. ❝ He is right-----I am mediocre at best. ❞ Tears in his voice, too, ripping the sentence to shreds as he shook.

                       And then, that careful hand on his neck.

       He was familiar with the digits gently holding him in place, was intimately accustomed to the lips that descended on his neck. He was snapped so roughly out of his anger that he was stunned for a moment, still and quiet before he let out a sound, a whimper, desire spreading from the lips upon his neck to the rest of his limbs. ❝ Tom, you... ❞

       He caught the other’s lips with his own, locked fingers around Tom’s neck just enough to let some possessiveness shine through. ❝ You know I am more than that, don’t you? ❞ It was a desperate plea against the other’s mouth. Please tell me I mean something more.
