Mini Son (손 민희) started her work by drawing the physical pain caused by her chronic illness on canvas or paper. While retouching several times over a long period, she encounters a picture full of hope and experiences the dilution of pain in those times. She considers solitude and depression a part of her life and enjoys them most of the time.

Mattias Nordéus (1978)
Born in Malmö. Lives and works in Sweden.
Mattias Nordéus is known primarily for his painted wooden sculptures depicting human figures arranged in varying states of action or inaction. Nordéus’ figures are built from pieces of angular solid wood before they are delicately painted by Nordéus who is first and foremost a skilled painter.

Chryssa (1933-2013)
Born in Athens. Lived and worked in Greece and New York.
Chryssa Vardea-Mavromichali was a pioneer in light art and luminist sculpture, known for her neon, steel, aluminum and acrylic glass installations. Chryssa grew up in Nazi-occupied Greece, which was formative to her art practice. The Greek resistance would write messages on the walls at night, which served as both a critical means for communication to citizens and an early lesson on the power of letters and symbols. As a child, she was imprisoned on three separate occasions during the German and Italian occupation.

Max Ernst (1891-1976)
Born in Brühl near Cologne. Lived and worked in Germany.
Ernst was a primary pioneer of the Dada movement and Surrealism in Europe. He had no formal artistic training, but his experimental attitude toward the making of art resulted in his invention of the techniques known as “frottage” and “grattage”. Ernst is noted for his unconventional drawing methods as well as for creating novels and pamphlets using the method of collages.

Monia Ben Hamouda (1991)
Born in Milan, lives and works in Tunisia and Italy.
Born as the daughter of an Islamic calligrapher, Ben Hamouda navigates and confronts her generational heritage through what she calls a shamanic process – creating works that act as gestural exorcisms of the expectations placed upon her by tradition and the politicized present, drawing their power from the urgency of expression. Her visual language is steeped in cultural and religious symbology and rituals.

Christian Eisenberger (1978)

Art is merely a label of no relevance according to the artist Christian Eisenberger. At the age of 40 he has created over 45,000 works. Yayoi Kusama (1929)

Yayoi Kusama has produced a body of work formally unified by its use of repetitive dots, pumpkins, and mirrors. Kusama proved herself a unique artist amidst the circles of Andy Warhol and Claes Oldenburg, producing paintings based upon hallucinations she experienced as a child and installations such as Infinity Mirror Room (1965).

Dunya Zakharova (1987)
Born in 1987 in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). Lives and works in Moscow.
Dunya Zakharova worked in fashion illustrations, later switching to sculptures and textile artworks. Her ultimate goal is to ensure the maximum expressiveness of the final work. The resulting images resemble fantastic creatures from fairytales, dreams, and fearful states.
