If you’re brave enough to take a part in one of the hardest rallies in the world why don’t you make it even harder and start with Vespa?

Abstract This artifact was thought as a space for integration, expression, and interpretation of landscape. We sought to interpret the cultural patterns and behaviors on site and built a meaningful artifact in order to promote its historical and intangible heritage.. Supported and financed by the National Minister of Education. Public Politics Secretary. This project was conceived as an artifact that amplifies the given cultural condition of the neighborhood and challenges the physical conditions of the site. The artifact is placed on the border between land and river - that is, on the line between the fragility of the gully and the strength of the river flow. The challenges of the construction were consolidating the weak line of the gully edge, transforming that edge in urban rail, and creating a new public space. The construction system consists in a series of four inverted wooden beams assembled one another, and tied to concrete beams. The concrete beams play the role of foundation by giving continuity to the whole system, and stabilizing the land. Since the artifact responds to a community claim and gives spatial, technical, and social meaning to the place, we consider it could be a great contribution to the neighborhood. Finally, it is expected to continue making a contribution in education and social responsibility training through collective experiences engaged with social responsibility issues, and their impact on architectural design.
