My dad used to call me a “man hater” in an argument if I disagreed with him about HUMAN rights.
I was offended. You’re accusing me of hating an entire gender what because I’m gay?
I was hurt he thought that of me, his daughter couldn’t stand up for human rights, for women without being labeled a “man hater”
Fast forward a few years and do you know what, fine. Please put me in the category of man haters. Because I’m yet to see what’s not to hate actually.
I hate men until they prove to me they respect women. Until they prove they respect all races. Until they can prove to me that they can be NORMAL BASIC HUMAN BEINGS AND SHOW NORMAL BASIC HUMAN DECENCY TO EVERYONE.
I know it’s not all men, of course it’s not. But if your friends, family talk this way, think this way about women.. do more.
I am SICK of hearing how men have raped, murdered, stalked, threatened and abused women and children.
I am SICK of seeing grown men think “patriotism” means setting things on fire and displaying violence in the streets while pushing a racist agenda. Little sheep that follow a wolf disguised in sheep’s clothing like he wouldn’t turn around and eat them if he needed to.
I’m SICK of bald men with a can of Stella in their hand and white powder round their noses thinking they know everything, shouting, swearing, rioting and embarrassing a whole country bc their wives don’t want to sleep with them anymore.
I am SICK of men thinking feminism or equality is an attack on all men as if they don’t have mothers, daughters, sisters who deserve equal rights, freedom and safety.
We are not fighting to dismiss you, we are fighting for equal pay, equal rights and for men to stop thinking it’s okay to hit women when their football team loses. To stop saying we shouldn’t have control over our own bodies. To stop treating women like we are property that needs to be owned, controlled and behave.
You fucking behave.
You are NOTHING without a woman. Nothing. You were born from a woman, you spend your lives searching for a wife. You need us.
So stop making us hate you.
Start protecting women like you do your own fragile egos. Stop thinking we’re only around because we owe you favours or children.
So, yes. Once I was offended when my dad called me that after I tried with everything I had to make him see the injustice in the world.
Now? I hate men.
