Brilwyn lifts her gaze, concern filling her features at Cullen’s confession. She steps around the desk, fingers unknowingly brushing against the cause of the commander’s DISCOMFORT. ❛ Lyrium withdrawals? Why didn’t you say? ❜ Her mouth curls downwards, glancing around for something, anything, to help, and it’s then she notices the strange bit of paper amongst the others. She must have exposed it when she walked around the table, and when she casually spots her own name, Cullen’s name and rather naughty words, her brows furrow, and she can’t hide the surprise that fills her. Is this the real reason he’s acting strangely? She picks the pages up, beginning to flick through them and—– oh. ❛ What’s… this? ❜ She asks, feeling her cheeks flush slightly.
His heart drops to his feet when she finds the paper, then he feels guilty for lying to her to cover it up in the first place. He turns away, to face the window instead as she reads through it. His cheeks are no doubt a dark shade of red and when she asks the question, it’s almost worse. Clearing his throat, he tries to think of something to say, anything. “I don’t know.” is all he can say, bringing a hand up to drag down his face, trying to make the redness in his cheeks go away. He turned to his table, picked up a few papers and handed them to her, hoping to make this all go away. “Oh, I forgot. These are the reports you have been waiting on, Inquisitor. Was there anything else?”
