It was both fascinating yet so concerning to witness Kanako speaking nothing like herself. She acted so differently as if another identity had been planted in her mind. Hakkai was staring with an expression of surprise clear on his face, brows furrowed together as he stared long and hard.
Kanako acted… strange towards Noburu. The only affection she had shown was only towards him and him alone. And he called him: Tenpou…? What on earth was that? Why did she call him a name that he doesn’t recognise at all? Yes, he had two names. Gonou and Hakkai. One name was left behind, buried deep in the past and Hakkai, his current name was a name that he kept when he decided to turn a new leaf. But he has no recollection of the name ’ Tenpou ’.
Hakkai lifts his head up, green eyes casting aside to look at the others. He obeyed and nodded, now heading outside to talk to the others. “…” A bit of a frown displayed on his lips, brows still furrowed as he tried to figure this out. It was like a puzzle– a puzzle with the pieces missing.
“I’m not sure.” He answered truthfully. “I’m confused as well. Though, I feel like she’s someone else at the moment. She clearly isn’t Kanako. Not now at least. The trauma to the head must be really severe. So we must be careful. However, Kanako is incapable of remembering at the moment. So we must take this slow and not rush anything. And perhaps in due time I– or we will figure out why she remembers me in a… different way. All right?” At the end, he kindly smiles at the two. A smile that should be a reassuring one.
Mi Yue (Kanako) sat on the bed and was alone in the room. Confused, as her thoughts were plunged into so many unanswered questions. She could overhear the voices outside the room, who sounded as confused as she was. The people who surrounded her were unfamiliar to her. Except for the man she cares for, Tenpou-sama. Yet, the man seems unable to recognize his dear old friend and he looks rather different, then his usual unkempt look. Feeling a little stab in her poor heart. Has he forgotten about her? Was she that insignificant that he has easily forgotten her? Did their friendship mean nothing to him? Or was it all a facade all this time?
Speaking of time. How long has it been since she had been...dead? A soft gasp escapes her lips. Quickly. Pressing one hand over her chest. She could feel her heart beat a rhythm. Proving the fact that the woman was in fact still alive and breathing. "This can't be..." She remembers her death as clear as day and the fact. That Toma, her husband, killed her with his own bare hands.
Clutching her head. Her body winced and reacted as the memories brought forth a powerful reaction to her. Remembering the pain the man had put her through. Hurting her physically and emotionally. The moment he wraps his hands around her frail neck and as she feels her life fleeting from her. Tired. She wanted to give up and let death claim her until she recalls a promise. A promised that she has made to her dear beloved Marshal, which brought forth a burning desire to live. A courage, a determination she has never known and never had. Encouraging her to fight back and for once stand up for herself.
But fate was cruel to her, she was unable to escape him and was caught by the powerful god, who ended her life in cruelty. Her stomach turns when she remembers the hideous memories. The look in his eyes as each time the blades drive into her.
"Mi Yue! You insignificant witch!" She was barely alive when she heard him spoke. Barely holding onto the thin thread of life. "I curse your pathetic soul to be reincarnated 100 times over, only to die in gruesome death! If not by fate, then by my own hands...." Like a curse key, at the moment, the woman body froze as her soul began to recall numerous gruesome death, that it has faced. Making her let out a blood-curdling scream.
